Any idea how wide the hanger is on these 148s? Took a tape measure the other day and noticed that on 147s with Conical Fulls my wheels are only 7.75" wide. Not the worst on an 8.125 but not really ideal. I want to max out my hanger and have the wheels line up or almost line up with the edge of the deck but I can't imagine the 148 hanger being much wider than the 147.

I'm also curious to see if they went with the 147 or 149 height

They're 'team hollows' - Cast plate hollow pin - dlx said pros were asking for less wheel bite or some shit ;)

Except for when he spends extra on hollow hangar trucks for the cast baseplates... don't act like a hollow kingpin is cutting down on weight either. That's Ace .38 special logic.

I have 149s on an 8.5 at the moment and there's no way they are 8.5 axles
I was using in this for a while and when I looked at my old thunder 149's I thought that there was no way they would be as big as the Indies but when I measure them against each other they were both identical

My Thunder 149s were actually a tiny bit wider than indy 149s. (Hangers not axles)

This is true. Axels are the same. Thunders have shorter hangers though.

Has anyone found raw 148 team hollows (hollow axle/kingpin+team plate)?

I can't find them anywhere online (only the black plate/ugly hanger that SW gets in now and again but sell out super fast).

Went to my local to order some today but the order dude wasn't in.

i think all those team hollows (cast baseplate with hollow kingpin and axle) are all that gun metal grey and the powder coat finish hanger..

That's all I'm seeing and only at SW or UK shops - DLX reps say 148 raw/raw team hollows are 'out there' and shops can order them.

Hey, guys,

Thanks for all the support and feedback for the new 148s!

I just wanted to let you all know what we will have rolling out next month.

We will have all models of the 148 (Titanium, Light, and Hollow-Light) on both the new cast baseplates, as well as the forged baseplates.

As well as polished silver versions of both, with the official name TBD.

Hit me up if you have any questions, PM, or in the comments.

Cheers!

I knew I should have waited for those TiTs with cast plates ;) instead, I grabbed some 148 team hollows from some shop in Michigan - everywhere else was sold out!

Is there any truth to the rumor of a new extended baseplate model in the works or is that just some slap bullshit? Anyways, you guys are the best. Peace.

Hollow Kingpins seems to be the only thing new? Cast previously came with solid pins.

Are the "new cast baseplates" the extended baseplates referred to in the Truck Setup Thread?  Appreciate you chiming in here and there, Reed.

The baseplate sticks out a little beyond the wheels. Some people say it helps with nose and tail slides, hence the joke "are thunders good for nose slides?"

Reminds me of the Destructo Railkiller. Destructos also had their hole pattern centered like Thunder.
