That's fucked!, the amount of money it takes get a run of decks for a shop or smaller company could probably sink them if they don't see the returns for the investment, basically putting their business into pennswood's hands and having them ghost you would be completely fucked, that is shocking

^^^ @firebert @heritage I have to admit that we are running behind on production, and I am a week or more behind on emails basically because I am spending 12-16 hours a day in the shop trying to catch up. However your posts are making it sound like we took someone?s money and did not come through with the highest quality boards we can make. The following posts seem like they formed an opinion based on your posts that makes us at Pennswood look like we don?t value every customer we work with as friends and business partners. Scumco has a new line of boards coming through the shop now which will be out in a few weeks. They are trying some boards from another wood shop as their price point boards.

@Pennswood - I love your boards and have always gone out of my way to support brands that use your woodshop. My post wasn't anything negative, as I even prefaced it with. Good on you for setting the record straight. Continued success.

You think admitting you're understaffed is coming out swinging? A business should at least pick-up the phone or answer emails for their clients, that's the most basic level of customer service that should be continuous regardless of demand, is this normally how things in skate woodshops work?

Normally how things work is you move overseas to save on labor costs and skirt regulations. Pennswood hasn't done that and they deserve credit for trying.

Move what overseas? There are a handful of woodshops in North America and only P.S. from my understanding moved to China at one point but it wasn't financially worthwhile so they went to Mexico, as Paul Schmitt stated in a fairly recent interview. DSM was opened in China right off the bat, as with other Chinese woodshops.

I think in this context "overseas" means "not made in America"

My mistake. Should have said out of the US rather than overseas. Misinformed choice of words on my part.

Strikes me they have more capacity than than their competitors which is why companies have used them lately ie FA, Habitiat....

There are a ton of new companies though and I'm sure at some point they may prioritize......sounds like lots of people making boards....not sure how many boards are selling though....

Everyone and their mom is making boards now, and there are only so many [good] woodshops to go around you know? This is why smaller board cos. do different woodshop runs, it's about the woodshops availability after they handle groups like DLX/Primitive/BBoys/PlanB (and those are just the bigger groups, well not sure about PlanB tho;) But you get the point.  PSstix has got to be at capacity of late with all the new companies springing up.

I am in the Dwindle preference minority, but from my experience, they come super stiff and stay stiff and poppy longer than anything else, apparently some Pros on non dwindle companies also ride dwindle boards and I feel like this isn't a coincidence

I know it's 'cool' to shit on Dwindle and I'm personally not a fan of any of their brands when it comes to aesthetics but they really do make some of the best boards on the market. How many companies are using resin epoxy glue, doing individual board pressing and offer a 30 day warranty against breakage?  Oh and their quality control is pretty fucking top notch as well. No fucked up misaligned drilled holes or funky ass concave ala PS Stix. Dwindle has even recently jumped on the fullshape/shovel nose trend with some of their new shapes as well.

cheers boys!
I contacted a shop over here and they confirmed that these boards do indeed have DSM stickers on them.
So many brands I want to support at the moment so I don't know if I can do the made in China thang...
Still drooling though

Got the Brian Wenning reissue in Europe - Made in EU = Jart.

The following Brands are now pressed Jart in and for Europe:
Sour (EU Market)
Flip Skateboards (EU Market)
Sk8mafia (EU Market)
Habitat Skateboards (EU Market)
SOVRN (EU Market)
https://store.hlcdist.com/skateboard/skateboard-decks.html

Had a Sour 8.1 this spring by Jart, shape sucked and heavy, the Habitat BW looks good from a shape perspective but the wood seems thick compared to Bareback/South Central or it is just the way the edges are sanded.

Had some South Central Poltic Boards this summer and I can admit best wood and shapes but nearly impossible to get SC wood in Europe. Skated one Scumco (Pennswood?) and it felt so much chunckier compared to the South Central Boards.

Anyone know where to get SC Wood in Europe (not UK) please let me know.

I believe the only shop in the euro area (UK, soz m8) stocking a hint of south central is slugger stocking hammers
