tried on some everstitch swifts yesterday ... damn those shits just might be my next shoe, heal lock is VICE! saw some emerys today but they weren't in my size, kinda remind me a lot of Leo's shoe
[close]
How do you compare swifts to seslas?  I have no local that carries them atm so online it is. Both of those models are on sale now, I’m thinking should I get 3rd pair of seslas or try something new...
[close]
I only tried them on but they felt way more tts than seslas do (and I think you and I had the same problem about needing to go 1/4 size because 1/2 up was too floppy). Have also heard they aren't too slim in the toe box. When I tried them on they felt great but I'd need to buy a pair to give you a full review. Have you tried Ryan Lay's shoe? I initially didn't like it but once it's broken in (and you change out the insole) it's pretty fucking dreamy!
Thank you, this is everything I need to know, because sizing in seslas is indeed weird and I don’t have opportunity to go to shop and try swifts on. I just got myself more working hours so maybe I just get them both and give you a full review ;D And no,I havent try that Lay’s shoe on, seems a bit too slim for my tastes.

I’m looking them on some Finnish shop, but when I tried to google those swifts they seem to be on sale every other shop...

yeah, I've seen a few pairs around online just wonder if you found some really good deal on them.
re: the Ryan Lay's - they are slim but thicker than you'd expect with the fake cup-sole. What I will say is that they easily the most durable shoes I've skated in a long time. Let me know how the swifts skate/ feel!

Has anyone made Muskin (mushroom leather) skate shoes? Saw some that looked exactly like Airwalk Ones.

not to my knowledge, seems like it would have been a natural progression for a brand like OG I-path if they didn't fold...
Even materials like Italian microfibre would be a good idea but I don't think there's a big enough market out there for brands to take a gamble on not using the staples (synth, canvas, wax canvas, rubber toe cap etc.)

I expected someone to say I-Path had done it in the past.

So I got those swift everstitches, took a quick ride around the block and here’s my small review:
-fits tts
-nice rounded toe, should be pretty good flick
-people don’t seem to like that STI-insole that’s glued to the bottom but I like it so far, have same on my sesla’s I think? Feels good to my 35yr beaten up feet anyways
-no extra laces but I don’t think ripping laces would be that big of an issue
-I like those grooves on sole, makes that shoe very skateable straight outta box

So after all, feels like a decent shoe, recommended. I’ll post later about durability when I finally get to skate that shoe other than light cruising, have few pairs to burn before those ::)

I ordered some Emerica Emery via my local shop.
I took the full black synthetic nubuck, very excited to try them and hope I will like the material.

For people who tried synthetic nubuck, is it as grippy as canvas ?

depends on the synth, but from experience it's pretty grippy from the get go and also gets better with age. Emerica have been making synth shoes for a long time now too so it's safe to say that got a good formula (actually soletech's current synth suede is amazing.) Let us know how they go yeah? Was always interested in a pair and it seems like they aren't even offering them anymore?

Wow, I didn't know they were making synth suede.
Which shoes have it ?

I believe the Emery were on the Fall 17 soletech catalog, there was a few pair still available on the B2B.
I'll give you a feedback on the Emery for sure !

I was impressed by the number of vegan options on te catalog, but I don't know why some shoes like Reynolds synthetic nubuck are note listed as vegan. Might be the glue, or a mistake...

Ryan Lays and the eS everstitch Krooked AH is talking about both have it (the latter only has it on the heel though), really tough shit! I don't think I'll ever be able to rip through the Ryan Lays and even if I did there's another rubber layer underneath (which is a good feature of State's vegan line). I'd really recommend either of those shoes or some states if you can handles vulcs.

Tbh though Emerica have been slipping with their labeling in the last few seasons especially in their catalogues so those Reynolds are probably not labelled correctly. Anyway, do let us know how the emerys go, they really remind me of Leo's shoe which usually gets pretty good reviews.

Soooo, got the Emery, but they were a bit tight for me.
I decided to microwave them as usual, but one of the shoe literally melted...

Note for myself : do not microwave synthetic shoes...

Ive been switching between the Etnies Ryan Lay Jameson HT and Emerica Templeton Wino G6 Slip-on Reserve.

The Jameson HT rules, good fit, good material, good board feel and I really like the toe shape ( a better Romero Laced).

Wino G6 Slips are a great fit, skate great and have awesome board feel but the sole tapping starts to peel really quick with the waxed canvas.

nice choices. I want the Ed's but I need a little more support/ cushion at my age I think, I wish his heretic reissue stayed round longer. Ryan Lay's are tough, like really tough!

I just wish Reynolds would bring out a vegan colourway of his latest emerica shoe. eS also needs to do a vegan swift 1.5...

nothing other than the Ryan Lays that I would actually skate but a few lifestyle shoes in there

Was gonna skate my emerica Emery’s but the canvas was like Rasor blades and the toe too narrow, so I have to wear them around
My house to loosen up so they are my chillers for now.

Purchased some black es Everstitch Swift’s on sale on the es website, very simple looking shoe, the material looks like something on a rug in the 80s but it is by far the comfiest shoe I’ve skated in a long time. The toe cap works really well, the material has held up for three sessions without glue, except that little corner around the top lace hole, my Ollies seem to alway rip that spot. Makes me want to try that accel slim.

were those everstitches durable?

always wanted these as a kid but couldn't afford nike's. apparently they lasted forever
