i don't know how i feel about celtic, just because i don't know which side of the ireland issue i am on.  i think my lineage correlates more with ulster unionists but whatevs, my main beef is with celtic (along with ajax) have hijacked "you'll never walk alone", which was one of the most meaningful moments for me was hearing the Kop singing it tuesday

It was definitely pretty memorable for me hearing it in person at Anfield just before I left England. I'm not usually one to have cheesy sports "moments" but I was glad I got to experience that.

AC Milan v. Bayern Munich
PSV v. Liverpool
Roma v. Man Utd
Valencia v. Chelsea

Wow.

Wait, do you mean that Milan shouldn't be there or are you saying that Bayern won't go through to the next round?

I'm thinking that Bayern is playing the best in the tournament out of them all.  But then again, I'm also in the anyone but Man Utd camp.

April and May will be really great football months.

i fuckin hate man u, i'll take anyone over them, even chelski in the league, but i think milan has the edge with kaka so i don't think they'll get knocked out by munich.  i bet the winner of the leg will have scored the only goal of the matches.

i really don't know who could win this year... maybe whoever wins the valencia-chelsea match. i'd like to see united take it but i doubt that will happen.

if i can see liverpool play milan or valencia, i will be content, or if the sequence goes liverpool v. chelski, then milan in the finals, i'd dig that

at first i was pissed you ruined the score because i only cause the first 20 minutes when real was up 2-1, but i think you telling me how it turned out lessened the blow that would have been messi's devastating equalizer.  oh well, at least eto'o will be at anfield next season.

Anyone have a chance to catch the highlights from Plymouth v. Watford in the FA Cup quarters match yesterday?  That Watford keeper is a fucking beast.

I was impressed with Robinson in the World Cup until the PK showdown with Portugal.  Seemed like he lost his head a bit.

i would be if beckham were playing, only because he has been on fire for real lately.  unfortunately him showing up there would turn into a big dick sucking event for him and fergie and i would rather not spend the time watching a match glorifying those rent boys at united

Hair-

I saw on the highlights today that Alex of PSV fucked himself all up.  Looks like he'll be out for the match against your Reds.

"PSV Eindhoven have confirmed Alex will be out for at least six weeks after the defender underwent an MRI scan.

The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in yesterdays 0-0 draw in Excelsior and was immediately labelled doubtful to play again this season.

'When he wanted to kick the ball he felt something snap in his leg,' explained coach Ronald Koeman.

'We must wait, but we think that he tore a muscle. If that is the case you would be happy if he can play another game this season.'

With Koeman's fears realised, Alex is certain to miss the Champions League quarter-final tie against Liverpool next month and, with the Eredivisie regular season finishing at the end of April, is highly unlikely to feature again in the league.

Alex will also miss Brazil's friendly matches against Chile and Ghana, scheduled to take place in Sweden on March 24 and 27 respectively."

the fury of crouchinho is def going to be released against psv next round, if not at least against villa this weekend.  prince charles team v. prince williams.  woot.

oh, and i read on the team website that JFK was a reds supporter based on old ireland connections, don't know how true that is, but i doubt they would put that information on the site if it weren't.

Went to the cup semifinal game against Hajduk yesterday, it was pretty boring, but at least it was interesting off the pitch...

What do you think about your boys being overtaken in the Premiership by Arsenal?

Well, as far as I know, there are both left wing and right wing groups in Italy and Spain. Here it's different because all the groups are nationalistic but apolitical for the most part. Of course there are right wing extremists but they are a minority.

they beat villa to overtake us and we will beat villa ourselves to overtake them on saturday.  ARSEnal are just a bunch of sad sacks right now with out henry.  all the africans at my school are so bummed out about the EPL because their season is over, they have no possibilities for any success this season and they think they'll sign samuel eto'o over the off season, but we are going to snag him and david villa (though i hope we can keep crouch on board)

Yeah, but Arsenal still have another game in hand, don't they?  Not that it matters, I suppose.  it'll be down to Chelsea and Man Utd anyhow.
