probably posted an earlier version of this a while ago, but I've added a bit to it since it was just a black and white tree branch

I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

That is rad! I would consider getting this under my skin...

If anyone is interested I started a blog a little while ago of the artwork I've been working on.

Your "really old stuff" is pretty good. You should make some "really new stuff". The Templesmith piece looks almost genuine. Same with a few of the Pendleton drawings.

Just saying, you should start again if you stopped.

Thanks man.

I never stopped with art. But I had eye cancer as a kid... my left is really fucked up ( and blind) and I need operations every few years or so... I'm 30 now and I had 22 of them.

I graduated as a master in arts, i love my job. But unfortunately its not the best combination with my condition.

But I do work as a full time graphic designer now.

Unfortunately I cant do a lot of 'fun stuff'.
Most of the time its catalogs and brochures.

But I just made these last week:

I've always been a big alien workshop fan, and I always loved the graphics. Especially the mid 90's ones.

But the newer designs are not as 'heavy' as they could be. The message is a little thin, so I made these for fun.
It's a little wink to the 'brainwash' and 'believe' kind of decks. But still with my own twist.

Im going to finish the complete series as well, just for the fun of it...

From what I can tell, you are wasting your time on catalogues and brochures.

Your work is awesome. Does your medical condition stop you from being able to put together a portfolio and searching for a job that offers more creative scope? Perhaps with a large digital or mainstream agency or even a small boutique that offers more interesting projects? Or do your operations mean that you can really only work freelance?

Great job, really like it, especially the 'brain wash' workshop deck. Do you use illustrator to make these? (it's probably self-explainatory but I'm still curious about the process how to make stuff like that). I wish I was capable of making cool graphics too  ;D

wow thanks.

well for the brainwash thing, i just drew a fast sketch on a small pot-it note.
I hung that on my computer  and from that, I redrew it in illustrator.

So yes, its all vector.

But everything i make starts out from a pencil sketch first. sometimes superdetailed, sometimes a fast doodle.

Sometimes I scan that sketch and draw over it, but in this case i thought tweaking it in illustrator would be good enough.

a bearded bee, drawn for a tattoo in honor of a great friend who recently passed away. He was a wu fan, had a beard, nicknamed "B" so it put itself together.
