Incredible!
I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

Nothing to contribute yet but would love if any people who are familiar with painting techniques, could let me know an easy approach to painting fine and solid black outlines. I've resorted to painting everything, and doing outlines with a paint pen which isn't the best method and the pen's are expensive and fuck up pretty quick especially if the paint hasn't dried for quite some time.

Any tips or feedback would be most appreciated. Trying to get back into the swing of things with some art bullshchmidt, and could use some technical advice.
Maybe I'm just so cool I wanna die.

Try a paint stick/solid marker like Sakura.

Those are amazing. What's the process behind making that?

Thank you.

Well, I just kind of winged it, but this is how I did it.

First step is to find an old deck. Got one? Great!
Using a holesaw around the same size as you want the outer diameter to be (I recommend a bit larger), cut through a couple of layers. Then take a drill bit about the size of your finger (I recommend a bit smaller) and drill through half the board or around there somewhere. Flip the board around and cut through a couple of layers with the holesaw from that side. Then drill the inner hole completely through.

Then back to the holesaw and cut all the way through. Now you've probably got some ugly ass resemblance of a ring. Don't worry! Just whip out the old belt sander and sand the bastard smooth. I mounted mine on a short rod, so I could rotate the ring freely without fear of sanding my fingers off.

When you're pleased with the outside of the ring, it's time to do something about the inside. Grab your Dremel and attach a sanding drum. Sand the inside smooth and check from time to time that it fits your finger. Also smoothen the edges so it's comfortable to wear.

After you're done Dremeling (is that a word?), you can take some fine sand paper and sand it by hand if you want to. I did.

Then you can stain it. Or not. Whatever you want. And last but not least - clear coat the hell out of that thing.

Done!

DISTANT RUMOURS....that shit is nuts dude. I have no idea how people draw so fast.

Awesome stuff in here. I honestly have never checked this thread and some really good stuff in here. Ironically I started painting again like a month ago. I was never great and only used acrylics but I found it always fun to do but just am super slow. This is my excuse for a odd gold fish. I hope to finish it soon.

^^Thanks dude. I want to do a couple more passes on this and call it a day with it. It's getting to that point where I am just ruining it more by painting it. I already want to move on to the next thing. I haven't painted in a while but I am reminded why I hate acrylics just cause they dry so fast. I am going to just jump into oils next even though I've never painted with it before.
