Nice, trying to find the time to paint is hard with a second kid, any spare time I have goes to skating.

trying to motivate myself as i've been in somewhat of an artists' slump over the last year or so; figured i'd post a bunch of paintings i've done over the last 5 years.

The black/white ones are either oil or acrylic on large canvas; the red ones are oil on paper; the last on is a magazine cover i did.

Wow, great work

Really rad Brown Town. I get the feeling you had to exercise some serious restraint not to over work this. I'm really inspired by your brush strokage and color selection.

Thanks for the kind words Chillout and Brown Thunder.

I agree with you Plod, I would be seriously stoked to see any new work from Bea!

Started a new thread, deleted it, then decided this would be a better place to post this.

Tonight is opening night of this showing that I, along with TONS of other rad people, will be a part of. All artwork on painted decks. Thought perhaps some of you pals might appreciate this or even live in the area. I won't be able to attend due to a prior engagement (wedding) but I hope some of you dudes can make it.

I dig the minimalistic vibe, and you weren't a slob about it. Clean lines! Very nicely done!

Shamefully plugging the online shop that a gallery currently has up right now with a few of my paintings for sale. All of these pieces are from a showing that I previously posted about a few posts back, there's tons of work up for grabs and all of them are on skate decks. If anything, just browse the work, there's some gems in there for sure!

EDIT: I don't know how to make that link work other than copy and pasting it, sorry boys.

Damn I love that oldman playing a crow on a giant chessboard. Something about it reminds me of "the lawnmower man". Are those AWS boards being released?

Thanks Rusty!

Well they're at Tum Yeto right now. So I'm pretty sure Hill has seen them...

I also showed them to Don Pendleton a while ago. I was insecure and well I didn't know what to do. And he sent me a friendly mail back. After that I just sent them to Hill:

Omar seemed to like 'em as well, posted this last year:

I also spoke to Lennie Kirk's ex girlfriend a while ago, and he told her he wanted to see them as well. Got a mail from him directly  and he liked them as well... which was rad, because he is one of my favorite skaters.

I'm pretty sure I'll never ever hear from TumYeto, but if dudes like Omar, Lennie and Lennie like em I might as well be happy with that.
At least the "new" AWS stuff is better than the lame Rob Dyrdek Graphics they were doing before their demise. I'll keep supporting them for as long as they exist.

Peace,

Kev

Anyone ever do any carving? I'm carving a piece of quartz I found in my backyard with some diamond burs and could use a little inspiration. (I've carved quartz before but usually really small pieces for jewelry, I don't have any pictures of it but I'm really excited to get back into this)

Finished Building this poor man's cello this afternoon. Pretty fun but difficult to play. Still not quite unhappy with how much it cost to build however!

Amazing work. Is art/design your profession or is this just a hobby?
