I actually use stippling quite a bit in some of my other art and I don't think it matters about an easel.  That shit wears your wrists out.
Haha alright man.

Maybe I should've clarified- I mainly do pen and ink, so when I do stippling, I obviously wouldn't use an easel.  Wouldn't know about painting because I don't use the technique too much there.
could still put a drawing pad on an easel! i imagine the repetitive nature of your technique and having your wrist set at a more ergonomically friendly angle would be helpful but i'm pretty certain i'll never know personally

made this for my color theory class. just a quick design to show the interaction of colors, and how one color can change with its surroundings.

Back to Painting Classes, my first paint of this school year. It's copy of a Frued painting. Really diferent from what i'm used to, since i usually paint with way less matter.

Very nice, reminescent og the painter/muralist Oroszco, who happens to have a beautiful mural here at Dartmouth (Hanover, NH). Look up his work for a taste of what ya maybe would've looked like ~100 years ago.

Wow, there is some really cool stuff in here. I've never looked at it before. Great job guys.

Heres my contribution: I can't draw or paint for shit, but I like to sculpt things. These are some rings I made. Solid silver!

I also sculpted and cast the skull candle holder.

They're cast actually. Traditional lost wax, then induction casting. The originals are made from wax, using a combination of carving down, and building up. This is how the masters look, before they get destroyed

I used to be a dental laboratory technician, making gold teeth. I basically just use the same tools for jewelry.

ah, yep, done some lost wax casting myself pardna. Not with the nicest burnout kiln either incase you were wondering.

ever tried making some pins? you can "implant" metals with higher melting points into whatever you're casting before investing/burnout. i found some surgical steel pinbacks on etsy for pretty cheap, would work for silver.

You guys great on a canvas. I'd really like to be able to really paint, but never got that stuff down, I always make a terrible mess of it.

So down with the dad theme. Don't know what it is about 'dad' and why he is inherintly funny... You convey it well, though.

You got more to show? Your sculpting gives me a feeling of nostalgia. Has a bit of the same feel as cool old fantasy art.
So want to try sculting with wax again, only tried it at a dental lab maybe 13 years ago. And only made one front tooth (that probably not ended up in someone's mouth.

Everyone's work is amazing. I never learned how to draw or paint, but I enjoy it. It's a pressure-free activity since I place very few demands on myself.

30x40, acrylic on canvas

20x30 I believe.  Created this in Photoshop years ago and recently had it expanded/printed/framed, first time I've framed any of my art. It's also going to be a part of a future project.

I have more paintings and plan on creating more, just got into the drip technique.

Thanks dude! I love the oldschool D&D stuff.
Dental lab is where I learned how to sculpt.
Heres the "Dirty Rat" ring. Hasn't been cast yet.
