final project in my most recent fashion sketching class...  I had to take a traditional ceremonial dress from whatever ethnicity (I chose Arabic because they had to be really really embellished and detailed, otherwise the grading would start at a C and go down from there), and then two modern interpretations using the first as inspiration.  It's 14"x17".  I still have a sore throat a week later from drawing with markers for 20 hours straight.

p.s. i do that in the bath sometimes. its fun to do it when you have a woody allen. when you open your legs up, your stick goes straight up, as if it wants to go to heaven.  - quote from guess who.

I chose Arabic

persians are so huge

That's as idiotic as saying "French Canadians are so huge ever since the video game version of The Warriors came out!"

-Arabs are an ethnic group who trace their ancestral lineage back to the Arabian peninsula and mostly speak Arabic.

-Persians are an ethnic group who trace their ancestral lineage back to modern day Iran and mostly speak Farsi.

they have nothing in common aside from a history of trade.  try to stop being an idiot soon.

mt vernon, WA  -- this one still needs work to get the colours right, because its from a neg

hammond, LA --  this is from a slide so the colours are pretty good, but i have to do a lot of work in PS to fix the sky, because somehow my film came out of the lab covered in dirt (no joke)

That Hammond Tennis wall was a sick manual pad for a few weeks... it got knocked down by Katrina.

Great stuff, Sebastian.

you cant see it, but theres some graffiti on the wall that says something along the lines of "tennis is for XXXX [crossed out]."  and i love the cinderblocks in the tennis ball...  but the wall having fallen over makes it even better!

the other one i just liked...  but when i think about it, its "the sun setting on film"

upload it to an image-sharing site like photobucket, and then post the link here.
