Woah thats acrylic? Looks sick.

Have you ever played with an airbrush? If you like working in acrylics, give it a shot. Its super fun.
[close]

Thanks man!

Acrylic only on the background, my lady is oil! I only do the large areas of color in acrylic because it's faster/cheaper. Oils are expensive! :/
Never had a chance to try a airbrush. Doesnt seem to be my thing honestly ahah

Dude, airbrushes are super fun. You can do some amazing textures with them. I paint boards with them, using transparent inks. Gives some neat layering effects!

I sculpted and cast some curb wax skulls. Fun little project!

Made this too: full sized urethane (same stuff as skateboard wheels basically) skull planter. It weeps when you water it and eventually, the roots will grow out the eyes.

So a while back I hired Slaps own Anton to draw me a drawering. And heres the result!

I printed this directly on the board with a modified Epson.
You can see a little bit of bleed but hey, such is the nature of printing against the users guide! Hah.

I don't think I've ever posted in here, my doodles suck, but it's my favorite thread save for some Classic Slap ones. Keep it up pals.

Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen have been killed by all of them. You should have done one that looks like Adrian Pasdar too.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Correct. Why Pascal? I got a Robocop request.

He killed both of them in the same movie.

Yeah, that's awesome Mr. Salazar! And everyone, I mean the level of talent in this thread is amazing.

Here's a painting of mine, paint pen on canvas. Named it Areopagitica, after the Milton text:

Thank you, straight and Abbas! It's still a little unreal to think my work will be on a board. I don't think it'll really hit me till I see one in the wild. I've got a ton of stuff I'm currently working on for the showing that I'll be posting on here. There's so much damn talent in here it's a shame that SLAP art show is in limbo.

HATE! post when finished, please!

Forgot to say congrats!  I can't imagine having art on a board, that would be such a crazy feeling.

Thanks, HATE! Yeah, it's gonna be pretty rad to look at. This entire experience still feels a little unreal.

That looks like your typical cardstock print from Staples/FedEx, but still rad nonetheless! How'd that come about?

boredom at work, really. I use a garment printer to make shirts, but recently I've been pushing all sorts of things through it. I have managed to print skateboards, but thats still way work in progress. How much would a commercial print place charge for it? I have no idea what to ask for. Hah.

Thank you!! I'm really trying... that last one gave me so much work. Not the figure, that is just the normal thing for me and i do it quite quick too, but the background. I had this idea of doing a fade in it, from yellow to dark orange and started with acrylic. That shit was the worst idea ever. It came out so bad that i was ashamed of it. My acrylics arent the best too so that should be one of the reasons. They work well for full color tho. I covered in white again and did the background with oil this time. It came out better but it is a little off still, i did a new layer but i need to do another one at least. Than it's full finished. I am a little busy with other classes now but i want to finish it
tomorrow and start 2 new ones (that i have to show them in 30th june, gotta work fast!!)

Dont question your stuff! Everybody has a different style and a different taste. Working hard is the only way to improve your stuff.
I am at a Art highschool. I learnt a lot in the first 2 years but now i think i'm learning just by myself, experimenting stuff and see if i like, finding my style. I may keep this style for a while, because i found that it works with my kind of painting and i like the result, but next year i dunno, i can change it radically!

Update, finished:

Oil on canvas, 120x80cm.

So good!
We all know you have two sexy anthropomorphic wolves who buttfuck each other on the bottom of your board.
