Those concrete skull are awesome, El Chupacabra! The crying wax detail is really cool.
it reminds me of a raw version of the ceramic skulls Funeral French did recently

I've been painting what I concider to be landscapes viewed from the side window of a car. What you picture when I say that is probably better than what it is. I get full of steam. Paint is expensive. I justify it like a drug binge. I can do thirty bucks of Cadmium Red today. Its not like I'm gonna do it every day.

Cadmium is expensive shit. I have to drop like 120$ for a lb of cad red/orange/yellow in glass. Also all the major distributors got popped for high levelsof cadmium in their soil so all the new shit is really diluted and milky.

two new charcoal sketches
Think I like the tram one best, both faces feel 'flat' or dead-ish. Drawing that last one made me feel like some guy on the corner doing portraits for 5,-, whispering like a street- dealer.

been doing a lot more sketching for personal design projects lately but ive been using shitty bic mechanical pencils. anyone got any decent suggestions for drawing materials?

id show some work, but i dont have anything im proud of yet. im actually working on rebranding my dads business right now because he has no brand identity whatsoever. i can never think of anything to give him on his birthday so i figured id make him some new business cards and some stickers and t shirts he can give to customers. from there i plan on redoing his website because that sucks too.

Would anyone happen to have experience having prints made online, particularly on card stock w/ matte finish?

There's obviously an abundance of sites that offer this service, but none that seem very credible.

Also those birds are so sick, nice work man

your local print shop should be able to handle it for you. just tell them you want to check the color before they run all the copies.

bad ass doublesteve!
do you have a hard time drawing women's faces too?
my friend and i were once trying to panhandle/sell art and we'd do pictures of ladies but we'd have to make their head a jack-o-lantern or dog's head or something.
anyways, your paintings are really cool.

I can't say that that thought's ever come to mind, so no. Never really had the urge to draw faces in general.

I appreciate the kind words though dude, thanks! This is my first crack at having a website and I'm pretty stoked on it.

Just seeing this, thanks man.

There was talks a few years ago about possibly doing a SLAP PAL themed art show, is anyone into that idea? I wonder what it would take to get that going. I even toyed with the idea of painting a dorky looking Canadian rollerskater by the name of Tracer.
