those last two are great. the rat jesus one reminds me of these animal hitler drawings i used to do when i was bored in class. it was just a notebook full of shittily drawn animals with a hitler moustache. its amazing how much more evil something looks with just the addition of a little black square

heres some photos i took. three of the same tree and a cat

Yeah, I drew it, I'm way stoked. I showed Birdo a doodle of it a long time ago and he suggested that it'd be a sick graphic, so I did a real shitty hand drawing and mailed it out, and he basically said it was too shittily drawn to do anything with so he'd have to send it back, and I'd have to scan and digitize it. He told me to contact Alex at ToiletTown.com and ask how to make it good, and I just sorta ended up asking him to do it for me, hahah

Alex said it should be in the next seasonal catalog or somethin along those lines.

Came out way better than I was expecting, I'm psyched. I just hope they manage to sell more than 4 worldwide, I'd feel like such a douchebag. haha

I'd totally buy one. I love me a good pun, and I don't think I'd be able to get pissed off skating when my board has a picture of a sea cow with legs on it. That's really cool, congrats on that.

thank you, king of r&b, WeTigers and Sebastian Toombs  :D

Glad you dudes like it, I was so convinced it was a dumb idea, but then again, Consolidated graphics have always been more quarky and fun, though if I confront them with another graphic, I'll try and do something more arty like the old Scott Bourne pro models, or the Steve Baily board Niel Blender did:
 http://bakerpools.net/collection/baileyblender.jpg

And yeah, I thought about the hindenberg, but after drawing the sea cows by themselves, I did the research and found someone else already did a photoshop of a manatee crashing into the hindenberg with the title "OH THE HUGE MANATEE", so I just went with the next epic historical disaster that came to mind, that also conviently placed the Humanatees in water, where they wouldn't die.

the hose and the police tape should be a really popping bright yellow, i hope i can fix it.  im going to print a few things at a friends in vancouver...  like 18x18 up to 24x24, depending on the results.

also, lately ive really been liking emily carr's stuff, including this painting, "scorned as timber, beloved of the sky".  an iconic piece of BC art...  ive always associated her with the "group of seven" out of toronto -- a pack of colonizing central canadian essentialists -- but since reading some of carr's diaries im liking her a lot, she was a very, very interesting woman.

my parents have been telling me all about it...   im always bugging them to check out galleries around vancouver but they only get interested (and off the couch) when its a major "arena rock" dinosaur artist!

Taking a course on art history has really shown me how ignorant I am about art outside of the "main" guys (Picasso, da Vinci, Van Gogh).
