most of its due to jealousy, but its always bugged me when artists give their own work as gifts. same with anyone giving away shit they get for free or from where they work.
I kind of do that sometimes, but only if I make it specifically for that person, like a customized card. I wouldn't give them a random painting or something though, unless they asked for it or something.
i give everything i make away. why would i need it when i make it?
memories? I like looking back at my own art from when I was younger to remind me of what I was up to.

I just googled "screenprinting equipment" and the first link that came up was like 5 grand. I'll do more research.

Googles not the best place to look. It'll most likely send you links to professional set ups. I got my first set up from silkscreeningsupplies.com for like $150.
