Blind Re-Issue Decks
« on: September 07, 2017, 04:44:01 PM »
Blind seems like they are doing cool things re-issueing a bunch of boards from back in Glory Days.
They currently have the Blind Series out which is super good. I saw that Gonz and these dudes would only agree to the re-issue if the boards were pressed in the USA not DSM, so that's kinda cool too. But I also saw they have the Guy Mariano Accidental Gun Death board coming in a Duraslick.

Also a Brian Lotti board coming out.

The originals go for 2K+, so it's really cool to be able to buy one and skate it.

Some people were complaining that the linework is nowhere near as crisp as on the originals (at least for the silkscreen boards), not that it's a big deal at all, but nitpicking small details is pretty much what we do.

Where did you hear about this? Krooked boards are made in Mexico. Also, Blind has been recycling Gonz's art for decades (as other companies have been) so I'm surprised that they even would have asked for his permission.

I've got a Rudy Sparkplug board in the quiver and the Markovich One O One Pushead as my main ride right now. Got two screen printed Accidental Gun Deaths on the wall.

Where can I find these online? I saw an original of the Mariano a few years back and have wanted one for the wall ever since.

Yup, was gonna ask the same thing? The re-issues aren't on their site except the old Jason Lee, Rudy Johnson and Gonz shaped decks. I can't find the Mariano deck. Looks like  fun shape to skate.

What I was hearing at a few different shops in LA, is  that the silk screened boards were made at Prime
