The Dylan part was very beautiful. You can tell he ment so much to him. Also, I wished Pat talked to him about his infamous upriver comment.

Yea agreed, was really hoping they would touch on the upriver/kakis situation since they called him out in the kakis epicly later'd.

I didnt mind this one but i gotta say it was probably the least in depth episode this season, dont feel like i learned anything besides the context of the 9/11 photo and that theres another guy involved with FA.  Maybe it was just an easy pick for his likability/location/current relevance, but instead of doing him for a third time someone else might have been a better choice.  Especially with getting the shine of TV.

Overall I did enjoy watching it, was entertaining.

I really dug this episode. Pretty hyped that Dill has basically a thrift store in his house. I wish he would have went through a bit of it. I'm not gonna say its reassuring but its nice to know that one of your favorite pros is as mental about collecting useless shit as you are.

I'm 7 mins deep and I'm already mad wasted! (or at least I would be if I actually drank more than a single beer every few weeks)

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

Looks like he may be a smidge manorexic.  Hopefully no issues there.

Really enjoyed this episode, the Dylan section was heavy. Also AVE seems like such a rad friend.

This was very good.

Yeah he's kinda annoying in the sense that he's desperate to be interesting and quotable. Though most of the time he is.

I didn't know he created the graphics for FA. I thought he was more of a curator-type. Impressed.

I liked it a lot.  He's a kook but his skating obviously speaks for itself.  i wonder how often he uses/drinks?  maybe just the marijuana?  hard to believe he acts as he does and is not on meth.

also, when white people apologize for other white people it's the fucking cringiest shit ever.  Don't do that.  I'm sure as fuck not running around apologizing for all the shitty black people shooting up inner cities.  so dumb.

you're going to be heavily influenced by your surroundings, but Dill's tenure in NYC clearly chameleon'd himself. androgynous, playfully GAY, ART. it's all a rouse/overhyped by skate media, like people jocking the Gonz for literally ANYTHING he does. It MUST be brilliant! then dill was suddenly DONE with the city after he sobered up. how can you live in NYC for over a decade and claim it as home and just 86 it? i don't see any traces of him now.

guy was BEYOND pretentious at the fish back in the day.

also his 411 day in the life, first place they stopped of to get a coffee was Starbucks, his every day spot.

yeah i'm salty and will watch the living shit out of this.

Dylan part was great but Dill talking is still pretty unbearable.

Would love to have heard about kicking Berra off Alien though.

I feel like that covered most everything in the Dill timeline pretty well, from being a kid in Huntington Beach to Alien Workshop to his drug use and subsequent sobriety (I thought he was smoking crack way earlier than the late aughts, for some reason), to the present day. Loved that there was actual raw footage, as compared to just muted stuff from videos.

I was always surprised that his Mind Field part was his "bad" part. I prefer it to his Skate More part, at the very least. I wonder if the rumored "all wallies" concept was just an attempt to hide the fact that he hadn't been skating.

It would have been interesting to hear him comment on kicking Berra off Workshop, but to whoever brought up Alien Workshop going out of business, why would you expect him to comment on that? It was after his departure.

Also, it looks like AVE is a closet Rick & Morty fan, which I find delightful.

AVE seems like an honorable, loyal guy - makes me want to support FA/HOCKEY.

When FA was still a smaller thing years ago - I remember walking through Chinatown and saw the fucking awesome sticker (hulkamania font) on the back of some old lady's motorized wheelchair. Made me laugh - and I remember thinking Dill could have done this...great marketing

Really hope we get to see that thrift store open one day...or he could just sell the shit off piece by piece on eBay and donate the proceeds to the Human Fund.

I can see how he can be polarizing but I've always been a huge fan. I met him him when Alien was filming for Mindfield and he was super fucking cool. A group of us were lurking while they were filming at a spot. None of us were skating but just watching. Which would bum out a lot of teams but Dill was super cordial. He came up to us an introduced himself and started chatting. He even watched some footage we filmed earlier in the day and he was really hyped on it. Best dude, best company. This episode was fantastic.
