Dude is fucking gnarly.

If I didn't have the image of him trying to smash Raven Tershy in the head with a skateboard over a slashed tire I'd appreciate him more, but that's kinda burned into my brain.

From the interview on the Thrasher site:

Quote

CLINT WALKER IS NOT A VILLAINóno matter what the cops or the Internet rebels say.

Did you and Raven ever squash the beef?
Dude, I donít know! I donít know if heís still mad. Iím not. I havenít been. Itís so funny because to me thatís something where I wish I hadnít done what I did, but I wish he didnít do what he did either, you know?

Yea man, if someone slashed the tire of the team van I was riding in, that I wasn't financially responsible for, and comprehensive insurance or $100 would cover (or just put on the spare), I'd totally want to smash them in the head with a skateboard as well...

Quote
It was just something that happened and thatís it. I told him, ďSorry,Ē and he was, like, ďFuck you,Ē or whatever, but Iím not mad. I donít even care about any of that shit.  I donít think about it and I donít think theyówell, yeah, I think they do still think about it. There was someone the other day that texted me and told me Elijah was talking shit on me on some webcast or some shit. I didnít care or get mad. Itís just weird to me that itís still even a thing.

So that being said, how does it feel to be the bad wrestler of skateboarding now, the villain? How did that happen?
Ha! I donít know. I guess it was Godís plan.

Yeah, the editing gods of reality TV.
I donít even know. I donít think so.

Well, youíre only the villain to the people who only see the side of the skater they like more. Pretty much, right? Is it a popularity contest?
I think sometimes shit just happens and thatís it. Itís just the way it is. Iím not bummed on it. I donít feel that way. I never meet people who are bummed on me. No oneís ever, like, ďHey, fuck you, dude.Ē Kids are just hyped to meet me. Maybe people are bummed on the Internet, but fuck them. I donít even know who those 12 year olds are. The only time anyone brings it up is in interviews or something. Itís never affected my real life or anything. Itís all TV stuff. Itís not in the real world."

The fact that a human can't be bummed on themselves for an action that literally could have ended a fellow skater's life over something that could easily be fixed... that's the part that personally gives me no reason to forgive the guy.

Of course, no one is going to say "Fuck you" to your face in real life. We've all seen how you could potentially overreact in a situation. It's some scary shit dude.

All of this. Even if he's not intentionally malicious, at the very least he's a dumbass of a high calibre. But then add to that his super gnarly skating? He pretty much breaks even in my book, I don't dislike him, but also probably wouldn't hang out with him.

Also, if I ever start yelling "LETS GO BOYS!! LETS GO BOYS!!" before a trick, please don't let me attempt whatever it is. We're skating, not bull riding.

Okay, he really does not seem to be the most likeable or smart person ever, but his skating is completely psycho and I love watching it. The rough cut definitely brought this out better than the part itself. He puts everything on the line 100 per cent of the time.

Country cowboy can certainly create cranium contusions cruising city cement chains, capriciously captivating casual celery churning.

Whatever kids, the guy is undeniably gnarly.

off the board antics are a bit much at times but good grief he is fucking gnarly

that was insane.  also, i'm getting tired of seeing people bring up his absurdity on KOTR (where absurdity is encouraged).  i'm not saying i think it was okay but yeah we get it you don't need to post the same shit in every thread.

Probably to get it out of the way, Riley's were a couple weeks apart in release and I bet it was to remind people Lakai made a video.

I enjoyed Clint's part but it's probably due to my obsession with The Lonesome Crowded West. Clint's definitely the type of skateboarder that looks awkward doing lines. That no-comply/switch heel line just looked silly.

Before that I was thinking dang he might be soty, then there was that line and I didn't think that anymore. Although Leo Romero...

Okay, he really does not seem to be the most likeable or smart person ever, but his skating is completely psycho and I love watching it. The rough cut definitely brought this out better than the part itself. He puts everything on the line 100 per cent of the time.

I've had one of my patented changes of heart. I like the guy. I think Clint Walker is probably a pretty cool dude in person. If my antics had the same kind of scrutiny his did, people would hate me 10x more.

Clint is pretty normal in person. He's definitely a smart-ass, and that prob contributes to the villain image. No way he would ever ACTUALLY smash another skaters brains out with a skateboard, that's just ridiculous. He's also a really good skateboarder that does insane shit on a daily basis.

He didnít even beat him up... dude got what was coming to him (whatever that was)...

People soooo soft

Dude broke the contact barrier when he put his hands on clint, clint wrestled him down and swung a bit. Been in similar shit with my friends :P

Also this was amazing and made my day.

I also have a change of heart. Wish they would have used an alternative angle as well as the drone shot for that last trick because the drone perspective flattens that hill.

Some of the filming was weird, but honestly I love skateboarding and I appreciate that jocks like clint have a place in the culture.
