Do you think if you used HD cameras and not the beloved vx1000 this part and your video would have been received the same in skate world?

that's a good question. i don't know. i think part of its success was that fact that it did a lot of these weirder, more experimental sections, combined with VX1000, spot-oriented street skating. i think using a VX maybe helped keep it from being too "ty evans" unrelatable.

either way, i'm glad it struck a chord with people.

Mandible what kind of planning went into some of the shots? The timing on some of the roll intos and shit was incredible. Spirit Quest is one of my favorite videos of recent memory for sure
