I feel like the skate world could use way more interesting edits like this. I hope Patrik Wallner is hired for many more projects.

I noticed that I tend to be more excited about Japanese videos than Western... trick and spot selection is usually more interesting.

Also, those last two tricks were mental! I... wow.

Japan is the new east coast
NY spots will soon (if not already) be blown out and repetitive like LA is
Jeru the Damaja will be replaced by Nujabes instrumentals
High waters will be traded for baggy BDUs, halfcabs, and Evisen t shirts
Bucket hats may or may not come back in
Summer trips to NY will soon be Summer trips to Tokyo
Clips will only be filmed past midnight
We won't be ollieing much anymore

Anyone who goes to Japan in the summer for skateboarding is going to be in for a ridiculously hot and humid sweat fest, even at night it's pretty horrible during summer.

Still with all that being said it's the best place I've ever visited and only other country outside the U.S. I'd ever consider moving to.

This is some dope shit. I might get some hate on this but I do feel that sometimes the close VX filming style on some japanese edits is not that cool, and this had some really good filming with the dope trick and spot selection that they are usually known for.

captivating edit. surprised people on here liked it so much. maybe this shows you how good an edit can be with the new cameras. but it was still kinda like an action super hero movie. the skating definitely shined through too.

Well I didn't like it. Skateboarding has been a haven away from these inspirational edits and "visual pieces." I'd hate to see that change.

JK, it was pretty cool.

Some really nice editing there. I feel like this kind of stuff fits really well with the Japanese type of approach to skating.

I'd rather watch Leo buy a baguette.

Just kidding that was awesome.

I enjoyed the visuals and music more than the actual skating though. Did not seem that "different".

funny just the opposite for me. hirokis dooe and thought there was a nice mix of styles, but felt like the edit was kinda vanilla, like an undevelopped spirit quest intro. generally really appreciate walner though and think his hd is among the besta
