I feel like they're probably currently testing the waters to see if they want to try the skate market again. They did that Humidity collab, those shoes in the first post of this thread sure look like they intended to sell them to skateboarders, and I've started seeing the regular non-collab Workout Lows in skate shops. https://bluetilelounge.ca/collections/shoes/products/reebok-workout-low-white-gum

I wouldn't know if that's due to shops responding to demand, or Reebok reaching out to the shops; but it feels like 'Reebok Skate' has already started. As someone mentioned before, Reebok is owned by Adidas, so it would probably be pretty easy for them to use Adidas' existing shop connections if/when they decide they fully want in.

They're not interested in getting into the skate footwear market, and they're not testing the waters.

I'm not saying they are, because I have no idea, but how did their shoes end up in core skate shops that (as far as I know) have never stocked them before and on the feet of pro skaters on Instagram? Are the shops and skaters seeking them out? I'm not asking this to argue - I don't know or care if Reebok is interested in the skate market - I just wonder what the deal is.

Yeah, I mean it seems like they're at least dipping their foot into the water to check the temperature at the very least to see if there's an interest.

I would have fucked with a Reebok SB program if they did it right the first go around, I just really wasn't into the whole DGK by RBK / Boks gimmicks...
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

Reebok also does a bunch of their classic styles in vulc versions signified with FVS in the title. The Workout model is the one that Palace used.

They also do the Club C, Exo Fit, and the NPC in vulc.

I think they all look great. Our Adidas rep also reps Reebok and I asked if we could get any but he said he doesn't have access to them. Been trying to find pairs on Ebay or Amazon, but can't find any at a decent enough price to skate.

This colour is dope:

^I had those (if that link even works - don't know how to post pics yet), but they were too small so I had to send them back. Only time I've ever risked ordering shoes online, turned out how I expected. Too bad, aside from being small they were dope and felt like a good skate shoe.

At this point any company can get themselves into the skate industry, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened with Reebok.  There is already people who skate Reeboks.
