In SF obviously Potrero and the Hilltop park in the Bayview are the go-to's for tranny.  The couple times I've been to Hilltop it hasn't been that crowded either.

If you have a car/an hour to kill there's a solid pool at the Half Moon Bay park(and the drive/area is really scenic).  The Pacifica park is also really fun too and fairly close(30 min drive?) to the city.  As far as pools/DIY spots I don't think it's appropriate to give out details on a message board but if you're in the area long enough I can't imagine you won't hear about them.

These are the only parks I really skate and they all have their charm.

Town Park in West Oakland
Emeryville Skatepark
Berkeley Skatepark
Montclair Mini Ramp

There's an empty pool near Lake Merritt that you should try to hunt down. It's pretty gnarly transition though. Ask the dudes at the Emeryville bowl and they might tell you.

Phil Shao Memorial skatepark can be found within Red Morton park in Redwood City. Fun park with good tranny and
a good amount of variety, but very burnt and potentially aggressive locals so watch out for that.
Greer park in Palo Alto is a Bay Area skateboarding monument, and is fun if you wanna skate tranny but don't really feel like doing/don't know how to do grinds. Watch out for the slippery pavement.
