I have been riding the seawall for 2 years without any problems. Now the police are giving a hard time. Witnesses have told them about me boardsliding on the park benches. I am an old 80s backyard ramp rider so this issue is new to me. I stopped skating in 87 after knee surgery so riding skateparks isn't an option. Two years ago I started street skating on the seawall.
I want to attend a city council meeting and maybe give the city a few ideas but I am concerned that I may be bringing unwanted attention to the sport. This is about a 2 mile sea wall. My suggestion is for the city to mark off about 60 ft of the seawall that we can skate on so that any potential damage is isolated.
Any suggestions?
