To some business major that has no idea about skating, a “team” is just a line item in the “marketing” budget and is easily expendable.  They don’t realize (or care) that the team is the whole point of the brand.  They probably think skateboards are like yo-yos or fidget spinners

Maybe this kid is young enough to still go to college, and he’ll have a few boards with his name on them to pull out of the attic to show his kids in a couple decades

This is par for the course for Dwindle. This was always the end goal for them since Rocco sold back in the day. They were the first to use China wood after all.

They’ll probably keep the Monarch team intact and focus on their Olympic marketing prospects.
