14°F is too cold for me. I hate the bushing squeaks too much.
I wish it was 14°C.

I'm up here in Canada .I'd say anything below 0 celsius I don't bother trying. I can never warm up my feet no matter what.

A calm and sunny day even down to -8C is do-able for a cruise or short curb sesh or whatever, but wind and snow can make skating impossible or just way to cold even at warmer temps, the wind is really the determining factor here

It depends on the humidity for me. A dry cold is bearable but as just a little moisture and it's time to go home.

I don't mind lower 20s Fahrenheit, below that it's tough to gauge. Wind plays a bigger factor for me, especially if I'm going to skate around to different spots in the neighborhood, nothing worst than some cold Arctic air blowing you in the face as you push; worse yet is in the early spring and having wind blast you. Absolutely hate it.

Anything above freezing and it’s pretty easy to be comfortable.  Sunny and in the 20’s Fahrenheit feels warmer than it actually is.  Problem is you gotta keep moving after you start to sweat or you’ll go from hot and steamy to cold and wet.

Southern Ontario, Fahrenheit:

I used to do flatground in the garage but it's shit. Can't move properly and falling hurts like hell. Also, snot flies everywhere.

Check out Montreal:

Once it hits about fifteen degrees things get pretty miserable. Not to derail the convo either, but I will say, investing in a proper set of baselayers and a windproof jacket will really help out whenever it's super cold outside. Most people who wear cotton--t-shirt, hoodie, longsleeve, whatever--next to their skin put themselves in a pretty crappy position as soon as they begin to sweat because that material soaks up moisture and keeps it close to your skin, which, in turn, makes you pretty damn cold. Add in a top layer that allows wind to penetrate, and you're basically screwed 'cause that cold air is going to push right through to your core, cool down that layer of sweat even more, and your body is pretty much robbed of any insulation it may have worked to create.

Honestly, anything below 35F if there's any amount of wind is my rule of thumb, especially if I'm going to end up filming/standing still in damp clothes. Didn't use to be though.

Whoever mentioned base layers in this thread is 100% correct. Someone on slap put me on to base layers a few years ago and I never looked back.

I've skated the last 3 days in a row and it's been windy and moist, lots of snot, hoodies shifting around mid trick, and 2 tees and I keep forgetting to put tall socks on, my ankles have been cold.

I have to work in that, and much colder temps. you get acclimated to it and its not too bad. other than your hands and face get fucked up pretty good.

Its mid day now so its probably warmer, but ill post up a pic to show yas, with wind chill it was -47 this am, thats pretty cold lol

its only -25 now so i screenshotted the temps without windchill from this am
