I'm sure that the vast majority of you are aware of board companies making almost no money off of their hardgoods. Yeah for sure that's expensive but if fucko's are going to buy them then let them be. Just puts more money into Polar's pocket.

If Polar didn't sell anything but skateboards they would go out of business and everyone would be like "oh my god why do core companies always have to die". Take advantage of the market where you can, and try not to be a dingus about it.

If they're being made to order then it makes sense to offer the gold option. They're probably only planning on really selling the silver ones but I'd imagine the molding and tooling is the same either way so they might as well offer it.

The fact that Polar is selling $1,800 rings is hilarious. Having said that, fuck it. It's different. Polar is arguably the coolest and best board company. Still an incredible team with great art direction and videos, let them make some money so we can keep getting the good stuff contributed to our culture.

Reminds me a bit of Palace selling their expensive shit because people want to buy it but at the same time putting out edits and a great full length video for free and opening up an indoor park in London that's free for all skaters.

I became a Polar fan from the vibe of the Pontus videos. A cleaver change in pace. Very pure, raw and relatable. It felt like an updated A Visual Sound for a more sensory overloaded society. Polar is killer brand and its awesome that they have the resources to make this product. I think its cool to do whatever you want as a skateboarder. This is a clear and very materialistic example of that ideology. I think its badass even though its about double what I spend on decks and shoes, ext. in a year. I also won't feel bad for anyone that gets mugged wearing one while skating.
