One of my favorite bands ever, and some of my favorite lyrics of all time. "mixed up and fucked up"

I definitely was at one point. I still throw them and D4 on occasionally if I'm feeling nostalgic.

tbh I think Kid Dynamite were far superior ... but I have been thinking about starting a melodic h/c thread for a while on here.

I once saw them play in Sydney and even though I was really into them (and more so KD) at the time, they didn't do anything for me really. On a side note, there was a girl in the pit yelling stuff at them in between songs and the singer couldn't quite catch her Australian accent. He kept asking her to repeat what she said until he got to the point where he just shrugged and said, ""I have no idea what you're talking about". She got super cut and called him a racist! When I was leaving the show she was out the front crying into her friend's arms...

i feel the total opposite. i have the kid dynamite demo and maybe listened to it once it twice . i always felt they were boring & generic but then again five been old and bitter about hardcore for quite some time . couldn’t figure out why kids were so into them but then again it was new generation of kids that this type  hardcore was new to . I just wanted more lifetime .

also since it was brought up, and seeing as Lifetime is probably my favorite band (at least the one that stayed with me since I was a kid longest) AND saying this as a huge KD fan - Lifetime is FAR FAR superior to Kid Dynamite in every way. Luckily got to see both bands and Lifetime always played better and was more fun. Both are great, though

speaking of NJ, can we talk about the almight UNDERDOG? Perfect skate music

absolutely top 5 for me. "Victim In Pain", AOQ, "Vanishing Point", "The Earth Is Flat", "Back With A Bong" and idk if bad brains count but I'd go w the Quickness. Very hard question to answer. I'm also a sucker for "hard" NY shit from the 90s - Confusion, Merauder, "Set It Off" etc

I agree with you. And that's a dope first order - the artwork of that record, marks lyrics - perfect music

yep, for me, Bastards especially. Lyrically and musically eons beyond KD. Just my opinion tho, like I said I love both bands
