Difficulty w/ my flicking foot
« on: January 27, 2018, 07:21:55 PM »
I'm 27 and just started skating again after 7 years. I'm regular footed and I've always noticed my left foot doesn't roll well enough to get friction for a good flick. Even my ollie's suffer because I can't get enough roll on my ankle to lift the board. My right foot/ankle on the other hand is normal. The only upside to this is my shoes don't get scuffed up.

Anybody else have this problem? Are there any solutions?

I'm starting my daily stretches, particularly my legs and ankles. We'll see how my flick and ollies progress.

The reason I got back into skating was to get better at transition, so I'll just stick to that for now.

If you work at a desk, get one of those workout rubber band things and stretch your ankles all day long.
