And thus ends an otherwise pretty solid 2 and a half months of guests. I'd watch this but this but there's nothing more I need or want to know about dude. He's like the chocolate version of dee Ostrander, he exists, he rips, but his existence beyond what he can do on a board is forgettable at best.

i went in pretty skeptical, but it is a pretty rad episode!
sick to hear how he skates his boards/wheels/shoes to death rather than swapping them over willy nilly

That's a pretty big discredit to Vincent, he's been around longer than you think and isn't some up and coming guy with nothing to contribute to worthwhile conversation.

Liked hearing him talk about LA spots, he and a few others (Andrew Allen comes to mind) have re-established the fact that LA is more than just schoolyards. His approach to spot selection is some of the best in skating.

Also spot on about WWF for his (our) generation.

You must've missed the episode with Joe Buscemi or whatever his name is.

Loved every second of that episode. Funny and real.one of the first episodes in a while I watched straight through.

People love or hate VAs skating not really any inbetween, hard to convince people out of their opinion too. No denying he is a genuine person who loves skateboarding though. I will always watch what he has to offer - dude is kind of an enigma.

Vincent Alvarez is very humble. I like him. He was talking on the Lakai Premier 9Club thing and since then I really wanted a full episode. Plus his skating is amazing.

I liked that one.... But I like design side of skating and theres not as much media about those guys.

Vincent's story just seemed to more exciting in the beginning with the unknown dude that people want to sponsor but can't find cause he ain't got a phone. Who ever said his parts don't do him justice is right. He does cool shit I just can't seem to get interested.

I like his skating quite a bit, but this is a boring episode. Can't even make an acid story interesting.

Speaking of acid stories, when are the hosts gonna do some acid so they know what the guest are talking about?

Funny to see how much Vincent's skating/style divides opinion. Genuinely been one of my favourites since I first saw him. Comfortably established himself in the rarefied air alongside Jake Johnson etc. I guess I have a soft spot for dudes who skate fast and switch LOOKS switch.

Also, I can't think of any other skater who has had such a volume of incredible footage sullied by absolutely trash song selection and editing.

I back his skating, he can skate any stance at a fast pace and do crazy tricks. I can see how people think he's out of control and not like it. But, I find it more a controlled chaos.

As mentioned earlier, I just can't imagine if half of his Pretty Sweet stuff was just filmed by Josh Stewart and went to Static V. Ty absolutely butchered his part in the editing room, not that the filming helped either.

He comes off as a really good dude. Speaking of The Flare interview. When they gonna get that Rickk interview. I've never heard him go in-depth in recent years. Closest was the Girl 20 year interview he did.

He skates faster switch than most people do regular. That skate sauce part is an all time classic. Seems like a humble dude that would still be ripping pro checks or not.

I’d like to see Welsh (he won’t do it). Lavar McBride (maybe) or Henry Sanchez (maybe).

My top ones are Rickk, Chico, or Kenny Anderson, C-Rob seems to have his best episodes with people he's familiar with and has some friendship with. Great examples of this are his interviews with Steve and Alex Olson.

Sanchez could be amazing, because he's so far removed from the industry and could be pretty loss with words, which could lead to amazing stories.

Why not? He seems relatively accessible.

I knew I loved this part, but with the subject matter this is the best Vincent Alvarez part (best wax video).  Last two lines before the banger are timeless, and the entire part is edited perfectly to the music.
Keep Rolling!
