Milan
« on: April 29, 2018, 08:55:40 AM »
I am going to be in Milano with a couple of friends to skate from May 18th. We will be there for 4 days and stay near the central train station which will be our home spot. Anybody has tips on skatespots and/or food recommendations? And is it really so sketchy with the pickpockets at the central train station. I´m a bit worried about my camera...

Does someone know where the spot at 0:30 is and if its still skateable:

thank you!

eat cheap but delicious pizza in the red light district
in restaurants owned by chinese. they put so much
cheese on your pizza that you get a mouth lock. so
damn good.  i do not know if our favourite restaurant
'pizza vagabundo' is still around but they were dope.

Thank you!

Cheese loaded mouth lock pizza sounds perfect and the spots look really nice.

If you have any more tips just keep em coming. Can´t wait to go!

I'm back from Milano.
I really had a good time there !

Here is a spot selection that might help you :
https://www.instagram.com/milanoskatespots/
(you can click on the localisation to view on the map)

The city is really big, so we rented some bikes from the city.
There are some elctrical bikes if you want your legs to be OK to skate.

I was quite surprised by how fucked up Milano centrale is.
The landing on the two blocks is very difficult.

We went to that bar called TuttiFrutti that was pretty cool.
Also, chilling next to Darsena at night is cool.

Lot of hot looking girls, be ready !  8)

I can second that Stazione Centrale is harder to skate than it seems. What's really cool is that there's always a good vibe and people skating there.
Work brought me to Milan. I've been here for almost two weeks, two and a half more to go.
Any helpful recommendations are appreciated!

Does anyone know where to find good non-commercial techno/house/trance parties?
Went to Domenica Elettronica at Circolo Magnolia and liked it a lot. Moodymann killed it!
Last weekend I also checked out Social Music City. The music was great, but the party, location and the people there kinda sucked.
7€ for a shitty beer? C'mon!

Bumping this thread! Heading to Milan with my girl tomorrow, gonna be staying for a week. Not bringing a board, but will definately do some sightseeing at Centrale.

Anyone got any tips on bars, restaurants or skateshops to check out? (I've noted the pizza spot with the cheese-overload!!!)

And is there some good channel for finding parties and/or shows?

Why not bringing the board dude!
There's a new spot near Corso Como in front of Feltrinelli glass building which is flat for miles and this amazing multi level wooden manny pad ledge thing. It's cool. Way better vibes than cool-guy mecca (centrale).

To go out I'd say check places around Piazza XXIV Maggio then you can integrate with Resident Advisor or something.

If you're with your girl definitely go to Brera neighborhood.
There's plenty of good restaurants, depending on how much you wanna spend cos it's a very expensive city (fashion, finance etc).
E.g. if you're into seafood, I love Zio Pesce, but it's gonna be like 50 each but worth it.

I think you're talking about Spontini which yeah is the classic cheapish pizza place.

Shops there's plenty: Rufus / Windrose / Frisco etc. depending what you're into.

There is also Supreme but I don't fuck with that shit (I like rad ratz crew tho).

Beware of your surroundings as there's been an increase in street crime / fights all around since COVID so always pretend you don't understand what they're telling you. No one speaks good english there so you're gonna be fine haha.

DM me for more.

Dude, now that you ask me – I've no idea why I didn't bring my board! Fuck. I guess the trip is her birthday present and all, but she'd be cool about it me going skating, now that I think about it. Major FOMO now, fuck man! Haha...

We'll be living right near Piazza XXIV Maggio, so that might be perfect. And thanks for the rest of the spots as well, super nice of you to take the time. I'm all ears if you got more! Thanks again.

Visiting Milano in a couple weeks. Staying by Centrale and buying a deck there. Where would you go?

Is Casa Milan actually skateable from Centrale?

Where do I get good pizza? Osso bucco? Chicken Milanese?

Bit of a useless bump but I’m also visiting very soon. How did your trip go?

Any recommendations for non skate tourist activities?

First time visiting Europe as well so any general travel tips would be appreciated!
