Truck Rust
« on: June 17, 2018, 09:32:57 PM »
I found some old stage 8 Indy in my garage with a little bit of rust under the hanger on the bit of exposed axle
Is this a big deal? Will it compromise the strength of the truck if I skate them?

I might try to take it off with some vinegar and foil.
Any info is appreciated thanks .

It will be perfectly fine. Surface rust should not affect strength.

I wouldn't bother to remove the rust unless you want to store you trucks longer (in that case you should also coat steel parts with grease or a rust inhibiter such as Boeshield T-9).

Should be fine. You should be able to just wipe it away. Aluminum doesnt rust out like mild steel so I figure it's just a surface thing like chavo said.
