Just because he got into house music a year or two before starting his brand, doesnt mean he isnt ripping it off.  He is using black gay club culture, two thing he is not, and using it to make money.  With the larry levan board he donated a portion to charity which is a good move, but he is still running a brand founded on ideas and graphics from a culture he has no play in.  Its like when gosha or other fashion companies use skating to sell clothes and we think its shot.
