There's a clip somewhere of Marc Johnson doing a back 5-0 on a marble hubba and he breaks the board, turns it around and does it on the nose

it's in Beware the Flare

This is probably the best I can think of. That dude skating that rail and riding away with a broken board is timeless “fuck you, I can still get gnarly if I want to” craziness. Joslin’s fakie big flip tail snap in Barcelona in Album was awesome. My favorite is James Hardy noseblunt to tail snap in since day one. Chris Cole bs 360 kf down Carlsbad is great as well.

love that. when evan did the front board down it in his in bloom part, he barely rode away before jumping into the planter box, but i remember cutting him some slack because of how gnarly the thing was, and how tiny he was. but then seeing ed do it a few months after, with the board snap and all, to me that was the embodiment of your quote. coming off a broken neck, showing these young 'uns he could still throw down.
Exactly, really cool to see him at arguably his gnarliest during his second wind. Plus he rode away with absolute authority, broken tail or not. He didn’t get nimble footed and try to adjust his weight or drag a hand or anything, he just landed and fucking rode it out, as if he was gonna land that lipslide that try no matter what, carving a bit on a broken tail to avoid the trash can, fully in control

Drake Jones in the Spitfire video, Cardiel at Marseille. Landing bolts on an already broken board is sick. Riding away on a broken tail scraping on the ground isn't a make.

In terms of newer stuff, I liked that switch flip tail snap from Miles Silvas's LRG 1947 part.

I hadn’t seen that p rod sw bs 360 before, so good. And Miles Silvas’s switch flip was incredible, I completely forgot about that.

To whoever said rolling away scraping broken tail/nose on the ground isn’t legit, I’d beg to differ for the most part. It’s full command and control of your board, it’s not some cheat move, I’ve seen more broken board lands lead to casts, broken bones and/or leg/knee surgery than I’ve seen broken board makes. There are definitely examples of slow moving heavy footed heel scrape broken board rollaways that suck, but overall it’s awesome.

Probably the most aesthetically pleasing break I can think of.

ed templeton lipslide to board break rideaway ender in this is skateboarding

I remember Ed saying somewhere that after he broke his board he still wanted to try more tricks on that rail but didn't have any spare boards to skate. He was at that spot with Rowley and Saari but didn't want to use their boards and they wouldn't take him to a shop to pick up some decks.

I'm pretty sure that was in Ed's epicly later'd, I think it was the same day Arto back lipped it for Sorry, Ed said something along the lines of him wanting to do more shit because he was really feeling it that day and he kinda knew he was on his way out of skating that gnarly of a spot ever again, but Geoff was like nah let Arto get his trick, it's his time to shine... Or something... I don't know Im a fucking loser.
