It's arguably the most expensive team sport to play, and a majority of countries that produce hockey players (Canada, Sweden, Russia, Finland and Czech Republic) don't have large Latino communities. The only one that does is the United States.  Although, the most popular player in arguably the leagues largest fan base is half-Mexican (Auston Matthews on the Maple Leafs).
