Duno thrashers soty picking is weird sometimes joslin put out 4 good parts one being 12 min long and released a shoe in 2018 n tyshawn won with his part in blessed (Deservingly) so don’t think we can call it till it’s done
[close]

Do you really see Joslin ever winning SOTY though?
I did back then when he was crusty had good style wasn’t fat n didn’t do ads for Disney movies mans just chasing that bag to pay for his wife’s pool now

This is just like the year Grant won. Might as well start holding onto your clips if you want to be in the running.

I thought the video was gonna end after the boardslide to boardslide them boooom ultra hammer time.
Imo he is the greatest powerhouse in skating of all time.

same here, I got very shocked seeing how much there was after that.

Can we give him soty already?
The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.

I was even getting annoyed that Thrasher used the ender as thumbnail yet again, which made it even better to see how it continued.

this is one of those parts that I'd rather just watch the rough cut.  music was boring as fuck and uninspired editing. it's a thrasher part, I know I know.

skating was absolutely insane. that's also why I'm more hyped on the rough cut.

Dumb question, but would this be the first time that a Skateboard Mag 'Year's Best Am' also later became SOTY?

I think Silva got that Mag honor in 2015.

The way the skating lines up with the Sleep song was 10/10.

I get why for simplicity reasons people are comparing Mason to Milton (and Tom to Suciu), but I feel their skating is way different. Mason reminds me way more of Westgate/Donny Barley type of skating.

Either way, if Mason gets SOTY he clearly deserved it, and same can be said for Tom. I'll probably re-watch Tom's Atlantic Drift part more than any part Mason put out this year, but Mason's footage this year has been insane.

Bear with me, but it's like comparing watching porn to falling in love. Mason is amazing, actually inhuman it's exhilerating but it's not really relatable and I don't care if I ever see it again.

Not only will I watch Tom's part over and over, but it's changed how I skate and the tricks I think about on a day to day. I'm glad that part is in my life.

I've had few guinesses... Guinni?

Guinness or not, good point right there. Did a line last time I skated that I wouldn’t have done without watching Atlantic Drift 11 before.
