As much as I like a section with amazing music I always think seeing skating in the real makes it more impressive. I don't mean actually being there to witness it, but seeing something that actually documents the situation as it went down, the other things they had to deal with to get the trick like cleaning the place up, interacting with the public etc. I think that's what the modern age of skate videos has neglected somewhat, with the ultra-fast paced trick-trick-trick editing.

All of these B-sides have been amazing. Another good example is Mikey Taylor's b-roll in mindfield. Admittedly not a skater I'm hugely into, but seeing (and hearing - unadulterated skate sounds are crucial to the enjoyment!) those long 5-0's and back tails without music really adds to it.

Considering that music sucked in Stay gold, yes. Also I like to see all long lens, no slomo better. Plus you get to see all the hard work people put into their parts. Maybe there should be 3D first person perspective as well :)

It gives you time to digest all the madness, and in a video like Stay Gold the entire video is madness. It definitely makes some of the less celebrated skaters more watchable.

If you're talking about the big 6 block, I had to double check but it's in there.

I still don't get why they don't have an option on skateboard DVDs to have no music playing.  Not fucking hard to do.  I'd like to be able to pump out my own music or just listen to the sounds of skating.  Who's going to put out the first big production video to add this option?

I always thought that would be the best bonus feature for a dvd.

I've never even thought about that but that would be totally rad! If your not feeling the song you can mute it and blast your own jams but then you don't get the sweet skateboarding sounds. This has to be one of the best dvd ideas ever

Heath b-sides with unlanded tricks is a must.. and hopefully it's at least 8 minutes.  Most of them so far have been way too short.  They underestimate our attention spans if they don't think we'd watch 10 minutes of each dude's slams, warm up tricks and saying dumb stuff.

I liked the music in Stay Gold. Herman, Preston, Suski, Provost, Heath, Leo, and Hsu all had songs I enjoyed.

If these b-side videos were in the "Deluxe Edition" I would pay 50 dollars gladly. I actually would buy it if they re released it on a disc.
