Some recent shit. All shot with an Olympus Stylus Epic, Nikon FM2 and Canon S95. I'm picking up a Canon 5D Mark II later this week, pretty fucking stoked.

I got a a16 back for my hasselblad, which means I can shot 6x6 or 6X4.5, depending on the situation. and I just paid about 60$, which is very little. I'm still waiting for the first film out of the lab, though.

6x6 is better imo, 6x4.5 always look like regular film snaps to me.  hasselblad used to market it as "the perfect format", I agree with that for anything mf

the negative is still 3 times bigger then a regular one and I still have awesome lenses (compared to the 50mm/1.8 from canon) for that format. I love shooting square format, but sometimes it's good to have another option without losing too much quality. and I have 16 pictures instead of 12. I always thought about buying an extra 6x7 or 6x4.5 camera, but this is the best and cheapest solution you can have.

yeah I hear what you're saying on the extra shots, I end up changing rolls too often.  should really look for 220 film though they only sell 120 locally.

if you're looking for a 6x7 in the future, consider one of these:

http://www.cameraquest.com/voigtl_bessa_iii.htm

MF metered rangefinder that is able to fold and close up, along with option to swap from 6x7 to 6x6.  Most 6x7 shooters are fairly large and cumbersome for any use outside a studio, even before adding a metered prism.  the bessa iii all up weighs about a kilo, so you can carry it around without too much issue. the downside is lens is fixed. and the price.

I'll get one of those when I win the lottery

Or you could go for the Mamiya 7 which is also super rad.

I know a lot of people who swear by that camera.

And Snickers, the FM2 is the best ever. I carry that thing everywhere I go. I've got the fm2n which has a higher shutter/sync speed. That camera will never let you down.

Got my first roll of film in ages into development. I don't shoot with it nearly enough, I made every single basic mistake you could make. I put the roll in the camera in the summer, didn't use it for a few weeks. Then in september in Prague I started shooting when after 5 or 6 photos I noticed I didn't adjust the ASA on my camera. The previous roll was 400, this was 200.

After 3 days of Prague I had taken 20 or something pictures (mostly shot with my digital camera there, posted a while back).
Recently when it had snowed I went out to take pictures, I hit the 24 shot mark and started rewinding, only to realize after taking the roll out that it was a roll of 36 (I should have known, I knew it was b&w).

But I'm really looking forward to the 2 decent pictures that'll be on there ! Learn by making mistakes I guess

For anyone shooting color print film, shoot it a half stop overexposed. You'll be more stoked. Easier to recover highlights than to try and recover something that's underexposed.

i finished my first roll of film today, and being a complete shit for brains i didn't look in the manual on how to rewind the film (i had a moment of weakness no idea why) so i opened the back to have a look how to do it, have i fucked shit up? like exposing the film to light? i then did it properly afterwards.

depends on for how long it was open, the brightness of the light that leaked in, the ISO, and dumb luck.
pretty good chance you fucked up the frames that were directly exposed, but you might get lucky with those that were still wound around eachother.
won't know till you develop it.
and every so often, you get a happy accident, and it'll make a frame or two look more interesting than it otherwise would have.

but yeah, you probably fucked shit up.

Same here. My FM2 has been around the world with me and has yet to let me down.
As far as medium format rangefinders, I have a Mamiya 7 that I love but I get more use out of my Fuji 645zi.

Slowly touching up all my favorite photos from an AZ trip. Here's my personal favorite, which is a no land. I'm glad he flicked this one nice, it was the last shot on the roll I brought to Tucson. Nothing does this spot justice, the actual ditch bank is rough as fuck, steep as fuck, and I don't understand how ten year olds are going down it switch.

I scanned the negatives of the 645 back and it looks quite alright. I don't like the portra films, but I can't find ektars in my town. bummer.

haha, yeah. I ran out of color film lately and had to buy a pack of portras. but you're completely right.

Clean that dust!

to tell you the truth: I don't like these pictures, so I will not spend another 20 minutes to clean them. it's just not worth the time, because they're snapshots. just wanted to show that my new back is working, haha.

this month I have a little more time to go out and take pictures, hopefully I do something that I like.

lately, there have been many new posts in this thread, which is awesome. keep on the good work everybody.

Haha, totally understand. Cleaning dust is the most monotonous task in photoshop ever.

I guess I should post something too. Really stoked this thread has been busy lately.
