I took a photo class for fun because it was supposed to 35mm b&w and I thought it would be cool to learn how to develop my own film. Turned out they scrapped that class and focused only on digital. I was resistant to digital but was able to rent a dslr and ended up really liking it. I'll probably buy one if I ever have money in my life.

Anyways, these two photos were my favorites. The flashlight trick was new to me.

Cool! Digging the Statue photo! A Nikon D80 body goes for $170 on Ebay, I loved that camera. Unless you're blowing the photos up for huge prints, 10MP is great. The sensor doesn't preform great at high ISOs, but there's always work arounds. You can also use cheaper older glass because of the on board motor. I don't know you're living situation, but if you're like me just scraping by on rent, food, etc... Photography gear money is definitely worth skipping a meal a day, or say Starbucks.

What I guess I'm really trying to say is, you have talent, and I'd love to see more from you.

Submit this to Nation Geographic or something. Seriously great shot. Wyoming is the most amazing place on earth, btw.

Hello slap pals. I have a question, i went to this place to scan some film and i got couple frames like this while other were perfect B/W. Maybe some of you know the reason? Bad scanning, bad developing ? And maybe there is away i can fix this gray in to black ?

A small sampling of my first run at medium format. The film was only about six months expired, but pretty much everything came out wild and foggy. Maybe the camera needs a cleaning. Regardless, here are a few that were kinda cool.

cool shots DMH, always love a good FTP tag.

looks like your lens has some pretty significant oil haze going on, though. what are you shooting with? my yashica-mat 124G had some haze on the taking lens and i was able to open it up for cleaning myself, can be a pretty easy fix if you have micro screwdrivers and patience.

Yup, these were on a Yashica-mat 124. A friend lent it to me after not having shot on it for quite a while. Luckily I only put 5 rolls through it before getting a bunch developed. Definitely gonna have to pop it open and clean it.

just wanted to post something, but matze shut this whole page down. your x-pan work is simply stunning, stoked to see skate-shots again (did you get those triggers?) and your girl is a cutie!

thanks, boy! had a great deal for a yongnuo pack (two 560III flashes and two transceivers rf-603 for 100 euro) and a friend of mine fixed it, so it can be used on other cameras then nikons too. the smithgrind was the first proper try after some funny fails (had the flash on 105mm and only had light on the board). guess there is still alot to learn for me but I feel that it looks quiet allright.

Damn, Matze. Very good photos, they always have a dream-like quality to them.

Silky, what kind of stuff? My go-to for equipment and film is B&H. Depending on where you live, they have incredibly fast free shipping.

This past weekend was Pride in Baltimore.

Where's that bank spot? Is that somewhere close to Hamburg?

thanks, my boy! never noticed that dream like look, but you are right. there is something about them. kind of soft, still sharp. it's not like a girly dream look, hahaha.
