A user threw it out there in the next FA riders thread and even if it turns out to be unfounded speculative garbage (anybody got sources?) I think its glorious gossip because I was under the impression Kader was on a solid SoTY track with the last Baker vid installment of the year geared up to him with some kind of absolute brain melter and hopefully not filmed by the same fuxkwit who filmed his adidas part and made every gap and rail look absolutely tiny by going top angle on a longlens and shoddy zoomed in crap. Only when I saw the ad of that kickflip did I get how incredible that was. All rumor aside would totally suck seeing him on FA tho

I like tristan Warren's filming though flicking through Kaders adidas part again, your observation that he makes things look smaller is fair. It's a refreshing style; Tristan seems to trust the viewer with way more visual context than his contemporaries. This lets people build how crazy something is themselves, avoiding a tunnel-vision effect.

I spent a chunk of my 20’s working seasonally at a remote lodge in Alaska. Same national forest that Timothy Treadwell lived, and died in.
If you’ve ever seen a picture of a grizzly catching a salmon on a waterfall, it was more than likely taken at Brooks Falls. Which for many summers, was my backyard.
Needless to say I was regularly in close proximity of grizzlies. Like, 20 feet apart fishing in the same river as them.
There were bald eagles, grouse, owls, ptarmigans and mergansers. I had to smash a grouse with a large rock. They get super territorial and go straight for the eyes. Felt like shit, but it was him or me.
You’d see otters fuckin off in the river and the occasional beaver.
I saw two lynx brawling it out once. That was fuggin wild.
Oh yeah there was a dusty, old, decrepit, lone wolf named Buster.
