When I read this yesterday I figured he had something he didn't want to suffer through. He was 68, right? I wouldn't think people live that long and become that successful with a crybaby bitch mentality. Then again...
EDIT: He was no Ridley Scott.
Fuck off
Because a person who doesn't want to deal with agonizing death via a brain tumor has a bitch mentality right? Unless you have beaten cancer, fuck you so much.
and also, ridley scott is overrated as fuck. although alien was unfuckwithable.
What are you talking about? I just said I figured he killed himself because he didn't want to suffer, BECAUSE people that get to that point in life generally don't just kill themselves out of depression. Not that there aren't people that do.
Alien
Blade Runner
Legend
Gladiator
Black Hawk Down
Kingdom of Heaven
Did you SEE Body of Lies?? Weak ass name. Wicked movie. Waaaay better than Spy Game and Enemy Of The State combined.
True Romance was supported by Tarantino's writing more than Tony Scott's directing. All he ever did was order camera crews around while Denzel stroked his dick for them.
The syntax of your comment suggested to me that you thought it was a bitch like mentality to skip dealing with cancer and off himself. Reading it again with your explanation it makes more sense.
As for Ridley, yes Blade Runner was awesome. Legend was awesome (escaped my mind that he directed it. But Gladiator winning all those awards was baffling. The others I have seen but they were just mildly enjoyable for me. I didnt say i hated him, I said hes overrated. I just feel his films are more great if the script is great and the directing seems competent but formulaic. His brother's films has a very erratic style but seemed more fun to watch.
Anyways arguing about films is trivial when compared to a loss of life. RIP Tony Scott.
