name me one xbox 360 exclusive game that is really all that great, Halo?

Nothing compares to Metal Gear Solid 4, and you guys will be wishing you had a PS3 when you get a look at Killzone 2

Its personal preference, I like the wireless connection, free demos, free online play, blu ray player, I cant find anything that the 360 has that the PS3 does not that would make me ever even consider switching over, other than most of my friends have Xbox's

All the good games are on both systems anyways, if SKATE 2 were Xbox exclusive I would switch over, then my Xbox would break down within 2 years of owning it, just look at the fail rates of 360's to PS3's

but since we are getting into it again:
as far as exclusives go, the gears series, left 4 dead, fable 2 and the extra shit for gta4
the newer hardware probably has the same fail rates as the ps3.
the better online functionality is well worth the what works out to be like $3.50 a month
the metal gear solid games have never appealed to me. they are so drawn out and feel like a giant cut scene..
i will be really surprised if killzone 2 lives up to all the hype. people were hyping resistance 2 up and that didn't turn out nearly as good as it was supposed to be.
the home beta is awful.
the cross platform games are generally developed better for the 360.
i personally can't stand the controllers.
streaming netflix service is amazing. hd content and the available titles are expanding all the time.

however, if i had money for both systems i would definitely get a ps3. i know more people in real life with ps3's and i really like little big planet and uncharted. the new god of war and uncharted sequels will undoubtedly be really good as well.

like you said, it comes down to personal preference, but when the main arguments are that "halo is the only ok exclusive, you can't play blu rays and the hardware fails all the time" it gets pretty tiresome.

The Gears series totally slipped my mind, I really like those games, Resistance 2 was a let down, but it wasn't as hyped as Killzone 2 is, I watched the beta for resistance and was not impressed but the killzone 2 beta looks unreal and it has gotten praise from IGN gamespot and gametrailers as having the best graphics of a shooter thus far, however we'll have to wait and see, as to "Better online functionality" could you elaborate on that?

yea either from gameplay or reading i saw that but i think for some guns its possible, but sounds like hip fire will be a must, im looking forward to using cover like in gears, i;ve never had problems with the online network

i never got the console argument thing, i guess when you spend that much money on something you feel the need to defend that you made the right purchase.

I feel they all play videogames quite well, although my favorite game (skate) runs like shit on ps3 so i got an xbox.

pretty hyped for skate 2, im glad they didnt change anything on the basic mechanics i really just want some new stuff to flick thumbsticks at when im tired. some of the new stuff is gimmicky but it doesnt really matter because the core game is unchanged and it will really just add some replayability which is cool.

new tranny parks will be fun as well, cant say i can see anything wrong with the sequel im pretty hyped they didnt try to do anything to it.

For what it's worth, EA guy said that the PS3 is the leading platform for Skate 2 this time. 

On the whole console thing, just quit because no one will ever win since it always ends up being a personal matter in which is better.. Both suck and both are awesome.

I was watching some game reviews on youtube because my brother is getting a 360 for christmas, and I watched one for skate, and one of the cons he took up was that one of the "staples of streetskating, the pressure flip" wasn't in the game. that review came out about the same time as the game so it's old news and all, but I thought it was hilarious

well, i dont know where you got your sources from but apparently the producers don't even know, the demo is done but their still waiting for sony and microsoft to give them a deadline for when it will be up.
