Just got the 288s last night, and it's probably the best NB shoe I've skated(it should be said I only skated in them for about 20 minutes but I got a feeling). My previous favorite was the 533 but those weren't always the best for chilling as the support they offer when skating didn't always translate well to just walk around shoes. 288s felt great right out of the box, really looking forward to skating them some more. On a side note...they kind of remind me of a slimmed down version of the Emerica MJ 1's from way back when.

Will probably cop those burgundy 913’s in the next couple weeks or so. As whole, Skate shoe design is pretty boring now, but I like NB’s approach outside of going crazy with some of the colorways on their tech shoes.

I don't know how the old 288 fits but these feel true to size. I wear a 9 in vans, adidas, and nike and the 9's for these feel perfect. I love NB but their sizing really is all over the place, I can be anything between an 8.5 to a 10

I have the same pair and they fit TTS. Never had the original 288 though.

How is the toe box on the Foy shoe? I suffered a big disappointment with the Westgates.

That was fucking sick. I picked up the black/gum Foys today and they're essentially an updated, more expensive version of the 255s. They fit absolutely true to size.

Not going to be able to skate them until the days get a bit longer, though they felt pretty good taking out the recycling.

The Foy has a rounder, flatter, more flexible toe than the Westgate. The Westgates provide stability in the heel and support through the upper to a fault, whereby they're too stiff. The Foys offer superior board feel and seem to build from the 255s with thicker tread, and the promise of better durability.

Hope that's overkill on your question.

Wish they had the side “N” more tonal with the upper on some colorways like their mainline lifestyle stuff. Need a pair soon tho. Foy’s looking great thanks for the top down pic

Those green 306s look really good. I'm kinda bummed I slept on them. They seem to be mostly gone by now here in Europe at least.

Perfect thanks! The Pic helps - and you're comments on the westgates were right on - they also made my arches ache every time I wore them (probably due to being too narrow).
