I don’t see the resemblance to a halfcab you guys are talking about, other than being a midtop Vulc, but cut/shape is quite different.
Anyway, the shoe looks great, and somehow original panelling in a sea of unoriginal Vulc shoes.
Also excited to hear that a Tom Knox pro-model is coming. NB# killing it!

Maybe I need to see them side by side, but this feels like what Griffin Gas Lakai shoe was aspiring to

Aside from it being an overall amazing looking shoe, it's crazy how much better the embroidered N looks compared to the sewn on ones on every other NB shoe. Hope there's a black or gray colorway coming out at some point.

The N being considerably smaller than it is on other models helps with that too

Man, I don’t know how folks jump down stuff in vulcs. I like how they feel and look, but can’t do them cause my bad knees. The 440s are a nice balance between protection and board feel.

Franky is a big dude too. He might feel something in his 30s 😅

Green's for those who haven't seen.
Edit: some shops have both colors for sale. Any idea on the sizing? Assuming TTS like all NB's except the 213?

It’s funny, I’ve found the 213 to be tts, but not the 808.
Do you get deja vu, huh?

Wow those Frankie’s are awesome. So much so I want to invest in some insole just to try to skate vulcs again.

Well I’ve decided. Once I run through my current shoes. I’m getting those green or maybe white  Frankys. Even though my old ass is trying stay away from Vulcs I can’t resist them much longer. 272s felt more supportive to me than 440s. Which doesn’t make sense. But I’m hoping these have that efffect.

Been traumatized by vulcs via Half Cabs, no way I'm going for vulcs with NB even if they might look great. Cupsoles forever.

Frankys shoe is way closer to a fred gall ipath than a halfcab (but I would say not really all that close to either). They do look pretty nice tho

The 306's are some of the best vulc's I've ever skated.

They remind me of the original Reynolds 3, except more supportive / durable.

This is coming after skating Vans nearly exclusively for 10-12 years.

Also, I'm almost 40 years old for context.

The foxing tape on the 306's isent that tall either, so it does almost feel more like a cup, flickwise. What I like about cups is the lesser grip for flicking

Just caught up on those Rone 1010...and they’re already sold out.
And Justin Henry seems a great pick up too, stylish guy, good fit for the team.
NB is kinda crushing it right now.

This 100%. It's weird but I cant stand most of their shoes basically because of how the N looks.

You still have a chance. Kinetic will have them on Monday and other shops will probably have them too.

They are like twice the price of regular 1010s (210€ here) and the material selection seems like they would be less comfortable and durable to skate. Idk smh etc…
take what small comfort there may be left

Nah fam, Rone uses plush materials. The price point is justified. Prob also more durable cause well higher quality leather…I got a pair of the first release Aries joints and all these years later they smell like new leather car seats lol

@rothdigga any words on a Reynolds shoe with these other new ones coming out?

It's being worked on but in the very early stages but I can confirm with you guys that he's going to get a shoe.  Colorways until his actual pro shoe comes out but starting from absolute scratch takes a long time for a new model to do it right.  And for Andrew, we most definitely want to do it totally right!  For the Tiago-1010, we already had that shoe developed mostly with him in mind so when he came on board, only a few minor tweaks and it was good to go and we were able to launch within like 7 months or so of him being on the team.  This one will more than likely take a full 1.5 years to develop.
