Gonna go back to the 808s. Love the 440s, but I haven't been able to commit to my tricks lately. So my back foot is slamming into the ground (A LOT). Right where the ball of the foot is. Which sucks on the 440s cause they're like vulcs in that area with very little impact protection. Great for board feel, but not much else. My old knees need a break.

Anyone got any idea what colors are dropping in June for the 808 and 1010?

I didn't liked the green 417 until I saw this video of a friend destroying them in Germany,  Can't believe this guy is the classic example of a great skateboarder with no sponsor hook up.

sick, that's the main local plaza/diy spot. i think i saw your friend skate a few times. i'm not at that spot often nowadays. i checked his insta, and it seems he's been in the city for a few years now. anyways, your friend is super good! and that line was nice and quickfeeted.

Anyone else find that the laces on the 808’s are a little short?  The shoes fit great but I can’t tie the ends.

jup, think that was the consensus.....i'm with you on that.

plan on skating the 808 or 1010s i have next, might walk my dog in the 808s to finally break them in- if they ever will

Edit: anybody that had the 868 and 808 and can mybe compare them?

i think they are wuite similar when it comes to the volume of the shoe and i remember the 868 sole to be hella stiff on the first da but breaking in a liiiiitle bit over time at least.

I skipped a pair of the middle lace loops to get some more lace length and because there was a little bit too much pressure on top of my foot originally. Feels a lot better, the laces are easier to use and they dont look wack either.

I have a deadstock pair of 868s and while they are stiff, the sole and upper is way thinner and much more flexible than the 808. 868 is like if you put the best of 1010 and 808 together. Wish they'd come back.

Just managed to cop a pair off fleabay for £15, oddly enough they didn't fit TTS like the other pair. I think the seller kept them somewhere, where they got squashed as the toe box was weird on the right shoe. Completely fine after walking about with them thankfully.

I wonder if they could come back and sell well, seeing as the market has a lot of tech shoes? Or is that just dreamin'?

Looking now, the next true Grey 1010 I see coming isn't until Jan 24 for the Q1 24 line.  You might get lucky and find a pair of Grey Day 2022 ones out there though.  I think the code is NM1010GD if you want to search them out.

Anyone seen soles differ so much on 808? The right kickflip spot sticks out a half inch farther than the left. I've worn them a couple times, not skated but just noticed this now.

My 417's have some QC issues aswell. The toecap panels are bigger on one shoe

thanks for mentioning the 868s, been watching old Trahan clips and wondering what those were

The sole is overkill. Don’t know what’s the point, cause it’s like the impact is transferred right to your foot when the sole is that hard.

They’re better when you just skate in them. But become really hard after prolonged use.

i had a pair of 868s that was a tad too small, but they looked and felt so good in hand. they jus wouldn't stretch enough to be really comfy. this was before sizing was dialed in and i should have gone up half a size from my tts. wish i could have kept them. 1010s feel quite similar in the heel. i tried 808s and they feel like the most rigid of the three, to the point where the 9 felt too big and the 8.5(tts for me) felt too fat and padded.

Probably a dumb question, but how is the sizing of the 417 compared to the 1010? Local shop doesn’t have Frankys shoe in my size at the moment and I really want them, however NB sizing isn’t my friend. Got the 1010s in my normal size and they felt way to big lengthwise. I wear a 12 in dunks, blazers and most other shoes for reference

Is there a 440 collab with a UK shop coming out soon?   I thought I saw a premiere announcement on IG but I forgot the name of the shop so I can’t really track it back down

I comfortably wear a 9.5 in the mesh toe 1010's and got the 417 in 9.5 and they fit great, I would say the 417 fit my wider foot better than mesh toe 1010's.

Dealing with some bad shin splints and I really appreciate the 808s in cases like these. Think I’ll go with the bulkier shoes when I’m a little injured. Even with pushing you feel the difference. Pushing in the 440s is almost like pushing in vulcs since there’s no real impact protection in the toe area.

The 508 is the only Numeric that has caught my eye. I really want to try a thin cupsole, and I dig how there's a good balance (ha) between simple and tech in the design.

They aren't very often talked about, I'm just hoping someone sings their praises.... i read weartested review but i rarely get a good indication if they actively liked skating the shoes tho.

The 508 are very good shoes! I'm very surprised because many have said that they don't provide enough protection. But I've been wearing them for two months, and the sole is still functional! No foot and heel pain!
