I think the higher the number the more technology is in the shoe, the lower the less.

is this actually true? I can't remember if I ever got confirmation on this
[close]
yes. Very true. They also align the numerology with something relevant to the skater at times, if possible as well. (Westgate zip code, for example)

huge if true

When you guys say true to size are you talking your actual brannock measurement. Or just the "most sneakers I'm 11, and I'm also 11 in these"

Because most athletic shoes I've ever worn run small and I have to size up at least half a size. And I even have narrow feet (11c)

@rothdigga

Just saw Q1 2024 catalog and there is a V2 coming with some upgraded features on the low and high. they changed the N which im not super keen to but the other improvements look solid

@rothdigga any chance V2 and V1 will coexist or is v1 done forever?

I have a feeling it’s the latter.

I think my true size is 10.5 but all the NBs I’ve had have been in my “Nike size” 11.

@rothdigga

I wouldn't call it "beefed up" but I would say Jeff/Nick on the product and design team did update a few things for the new 440.  I'm a dedicated 440 user, it's my only shoe for last 4 years and the improvements are slight but needed.  They eliminated the rocker on the shoe (it sat on the shelf with a bit of a curve on the sole) as well as upgraded some durability points but the overall toe down and everything will look the same.  We may have 1-2 carryover colors of the older 440's but once the new one hits, the old will go away.

Is the big “n” just on the new trail 440?

Was this Reynolds UFO (unidentified footwear offering) ever properly ID’ed?

New 440?

Or just a sample?

Yea black/gum 808 with a rubber toecap it look like. Man, that color way with the white laces has some serious 2007 vibes.

I def noticed that in product photos, but it seemed several like the all black Knox low didn’t have that issue.

Weird question maybe, but does the 1010s have a softer sole than the 808s? I want impact protection, but a little bounce in the soles. 808s are so hard that I’m partly convinced they’re the reason I have shin splints all of a sudden.

Definitely softer and more flexible compared to the 808.

Size 10 for the 440 is a perfect fit for me. Can I expect the 508 to fit similarly?

Dude white shoes look best when they're all stained and grimy, I'll stand by that.
