My local told me they're going to be super limited, @rothdigga is that true?
Limited run yes, but we have colorways coming out pretty often of these so if you miss out on the first run, you should be able to cop the next batch.  They shouldn't be too hard to find as you can already see from the preview posts that most of your locals will be carrying a run of them.

Skateshoeguru posted (and removed?) a preview of a Reynolds signature colorway of the 480s. Looked good, mostly brown with a blue N if i remember correctly...

Way better colorway than the first two releasing this week that's for sure!

Alex Olson never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

I have high hopes for the 480, dunks toe boxes are too slim for my wide ass feet, since the 480 toe box is similar I am praying for the best here.... Love the Reynolds colorway btw!

480 runs tts. Maybe even feels a little big because of the wide toe box. Toe box dimensions seem similar to a Dunk. Collar and tongue not as padded or puffy as a SB Dunk.

A good midpoint between the 440 and the 808, IMO. Better board feel than a 808. Better impact protection than a 440. Felt broken in right out of the box.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. 808s are too bulky, 440 fit like a dream but don't have enough impact support in the forefoot. Hopefully, some shops put these online and they don't sell out. Need a size 13.

Have you tried a thicker insole? That's what I do for 440's which helps with it feeling too thin.

Not yet, but I plan on trying that soon. It's an almost perfect shoe. I've owned a few different models and keep coming back to it.

I was already sold on one of the two first colorways, but I think I'm going to have to wait for the Reynolds colorway or the white with the black sole. Both of those look sooooo good

I love those too. Wonder if they’re coming out in that order. The two front ones are the first drops.

I agree about that 440 and really like the Superfeet Adapt Run or Run Comfort in them. It doesn't turn them into a 1010, but makes them doable.

Can anyone confirm what the midsole situation is for the 480? Full length fuelcell?

Is there any discernible difference between fuelcell foam and abzorb foam?

Are we gonna see a 480 high? I have been wanting a high numeric version of the 480 for at least 4 years and was stoked when some of the team were seen riding the standard ones a few years back.

I can’t speak to the 480 specifically, but in their running and lifestyle shoes the fuel cell foam is kind of bouncy. Like it is soft and compresses, but bounces back more than the other foams they use. Fuel cell feels more like stepping on gummy bears whereas their other foams feel more like stepping on different densities of marshmallow.

Most of those colorways look great, white with black sole caught my eye and tickled some memories. Also made me wish the black one had a black sole and white laces.

Does the reynolds colorway have a black sole or is it navy?
take what small comfort there may be left

By the catalogue photo I'd say black

Interesting to see the colorway lineup in the style of the Teddy Santis (creative director) MIUSA collections ..

@rothdigga is there overlap and some insight from Teddy/MIUSA NB hq team? For brand consistency sake? Kind of saw it with the “N” on the 807 following the 990v6 oversized N too from a overall brand change
