How is the width compared to 1010s?

The 480s to me fit slightly wider than the 1010s straight out of the box. It’s like a more comfortable dunk made for a slightly wider foot. It is superior to a dunk so I hate to use that comparison, but it’s the easiest close comparison that most people seem to be familiar with.

It's a stiffer Dunk with a tighter fitting toebox due to being shallower top to bottom and having more of curved shape on the toe cap. If you like the Dunk and don't have potato feet you'll like these. My friend has skated Dunks for a decade straight and found them to fit better, but ultimately did not stick with them.

I just got my 480s about 10 minutes ago.  I ordered the same size I do for 1010s and Dunks, and my forefoot feels very snug top to bottom and side to side in the 480s when compared to fresh Dunks or 1010s.  Slight pinchyness across the knuckles no matter how loose the laces are in that area.  No issues lengthwise though.   

Initial response is that I'm not getting that instant bliss like I get in the 440s, but I'm skating these anyway so I can't wait to see how they break in.

Hmmmm I’m mixed on these. The bigger N is too fat and pronounced compared to the first ones. I normally don’t care too much about the New Balance branding but this one may be too much for me. I don’t think this guy touched on if the midsole changed at all, which would be the biggest selling point to me. It’d be a shame if they kept the midsole that only goes part way up the shoe.

LOL this dude completely misses some of the biggest changes that were made to the shoe. He says it still has the same outsole, but the NB guys who post here mentioned that one of the main drivers for the retooling was the outsole and how they wanted it to sit more flat on the shelf. Also the toecap shape looks to be updated, with it being a bit taller in the ollie area.

yeah those white & black 480s look very slick in that video. all the colors look solid, but that was a definite stand out

Makes me want to go back to Chicago. Was there this summer for work and couldn’t see anything. Lovely photos. And I need both of those Black/White colorways now!

NB is really killing it with the rollout and marketing for the 480s. Seeing the new edit and that zine really makes me want another pair of the 480s, and I haven't even skated mine yet lol. If they skate anywhere as good as I think they will, I'm getting another pair forsure.

Unless the rumored hightop version comes out first. Then I'm getting that one instead lol. Too many good shoes from NB!

NB# probably contacted him. Before I posted it, it had like 300 views. Should’ve taken a screenshot.

Either that or dude realized it’d be VERY easy to figure out who leaked them to him. He always posts stuff at a certain skate shop and like lots of YouTubers, shares too much about the places he frequents.

Still it got me hyped for them. Hopefully we get some official photos soon.
