I heard on a review video by a shop that besides the Templetons, we might also get the Jaime Thomas Emericas. Is that true? Also, those in the know, what colorways of the Templeton are coming out, so far I only saw a picture of a navy/white colorway.
well his shoe ended up being the phocus but their modern interpretation of it (that lasted what, one season?) looks nothing like the OG...

a few years ago, there was an emerica catalog that had a very 1:1 slightly modernized reissue of the JT emerica shoe but then it never came out (and it wasn't the phocus). I would love an accurate reissue of the JT. The reason I prefer the templeton 2 over the 1 is because at the time the 1 was out, i was skating the JTs instead.

it was supposed to be called the centry but was never released. not a 100% true to the og reissue, it was a little slimmer (although had they made it a "1:1" it would be puffier than the og for sure, that's what they usually do at sole tech)

i'm not 100% sure about that but i think it was JT who deaded em and they switched it up a little and released it as the dissent. again i might have made that up or something but it's jamie so i believe myself

this is the dissent for reference, decent looking shoe if you ask me, wonder why they stopped making it

nah i know why, it didn't sell, but i don't believe that The Low Vulc sells or any of their shoes for that matter

okay, yeah my bad, the focus was supposed to be Jamie’s second shoe and then he bounced and they called it the focus, he took the design with him to Adio too but they couldn’t pull it off as well as emerica did. The modern day focus was abysmal though.
Oh, and yes I remember that centry shoe when the photos leaked; very close to his first shoe indeed.

Maybe I’m the only one who thinks this but in all honesty I wish soletech, emerica specifically, since I skate those the most would just focus on making good looking modern shoes instead of getting into the reissue game. I know people are hyped about the templeton reissue but is anyone going to actually skate that shoe? Let alone blow through a pair and buy another ? I personally don’t think so. If I had things my way I’d like to see product from about a decade ago when we got the westgate g6 and the Herman g6. Those were both very good shoes and stood out from stuff that was being produced at the time. As long as emerica has a different designer than whoever the fuck come up with the phocus g6 I think we’d get some really good looking and skateable shoes out of them. But who knows maybe I’m completely wrong and reissues are what would save them…

I started skateboarding in 2006 so the Templeton’s were before my time and for some reason I want them and plan on skateboarding in them if I get them.

Seeing as es does a Muska and creager wonder if emerica will do multiple. Surely the Ellington would be the next choice (assuming the Reynolds would be a Koston scenario). Wonder if Mike v would quit cariuma to get a Etnies reissue

Just off top they’d probably just do a Czar. Considering he’s still under sole tech… how about an Ernie’s Arto 1/2 rerelease

honestly, no. they should do both. I love skating the reissues as i wasnt alive when these shoes were popular and I find they skate better than a lot of modern shoes. the reissues are also starting to flop. eS just dropped some new colorways and they arent sold out, DC dropped three super famous DC shoes and none of them sold. It's good for people who want to skate them like me or, just buy em out of memory.

The thing that made the templeton 1 so great was that it had a hollowed out area, under the insole, that had a great clear gel pad that protected against heel bruises. As hammers style skating was in at the time, this was a perfect feature on an already long  lasting shoe. You would never blow out that toe cap.
Aesthetically, the shoe was also better than the 2’s. By the time the 2s were out templeton was dressing in all black, and Emerica was kind of already being all motorcycle style dudes. The 1’s were around in the 90s still, like jump off a building era before the pissdrunx style came in, and I personally think that they are a better looking shoe.
Anyway, I’m spending my shoe nostalgia money on the sal23’s

For anyone on the fence about purchasing the Heritics, I strongly recommend it. It's not too slim, not too bulky, with just the right amount of board feel and protection. And I felt confident skating them right out of the box. Emerica did a significantly better job in this modernized reissue than they did with the OG-1 which just felt too bulky and consequently handicapped most of my tricks.

I said the same thing. I was hyped when they reissued the OG accel. I bought a pair skated it. Every other remake or re-release was pretty mundane. And now it's spreading throughout soletec. Etnies with the sal. Emerica got the marc's. And fucking es' is just shitting them out. Kelly harts insta stories showing samples of how es' is trying to remake the accel to exactly how the OG was. Why? I have no fucking idea. Arto gets a shoe with the accel sole on it. So basically another accel. The muska and creagor come out. Literally who is fucking asking for this. The nostalgia leeching is insane.

An Accel that is between the current OG and the Slim, AKA how the original Accel was is perfect.  The current OG one still skates great, but the tongue is basically a mattress.

I don’t have instagram, but that’s cool Kelly is trying to get the accel off back to what it was. It’s probably not as easy as we might think just because the factory is different.
The Arto  accels are a step in the right direction, the toe is better, and I think the other recent releases are better now too.
