has this sold well? theres no guarantee for a sequel, tony hawk was crazy popular and ea is a giant company, they wont make sequels if theres no interest. but yea im going to buy a xbox 360 unless someone can tell me why i should get a ps3

The developers basically confirmed sequels on the official forums. Saying there's going to be walking and other improvements in the next one. Plus yeah, a surprising amount of people are tired of Tony Hawk, and the game appears to be selling pretty well.

Didn't this win best sports game at E3?

That's enough for a sequel right there.

Downloaded the demo last night for PS3, first impression completely stoked. i love that you have to rotate your body for grind tricks and then use the other stick to control how you get on it. i also like that the control setup is so intuitive that i was able to guess how to do a nose blunt, the first thing i thought that made sense was what it was. and then when it was sketchy looking because I skected the controls doing it i was stoked.

definitely going to get the full version on monday

it took my super long to figure it out. but if you throw like a hardflip or a treflip and grab and hold for likr 720 or 900 and do something similair on the mega quarter you should beat it.

Do people who don't skate actually like this game? It sounds like it's made for skateboarders, which is cool, but that doesn't appeal to a lot of the video game consumers. /nerd

Yeah, I don't get it. It seems like it would be like the Thrasher game and go pretty much unnoticed..

once you figure out manuals, its a whole new game. just barely tilt it forward or back.
doing reverts back into transitions are beautiful.

How do you go about doing this? Also, in the full game can you do reverts out of grinds? If not then no 270s out of slides or realistic backside nosegrind reverts, just crazy pop outs.

Sucks so bad that it's not out here yet. Ah well, Halo 3 soon enough (anyone up for MP?) ;D
This is bizarre it is like he is just taking the Krew/Supra approach to marketing, but using it in his own pursuit of sponsorship letting the lifestyle shots do all the work.

to revert back into transition or in a manual, or just in street just rotate the left stick in a quick circle. right before or the instant you get out of the grind/stall. i don't think you'll ever fall on them after a grind or stall on transition but you don't want that shit to look at awkward and ugly as shit.

I played the demo for PS3 at my cousin's house yesterday. I am really feeling this game, but I'm still not putting down that much money for a next-gen console just to play it.

so whats the secret to manuals?
i got an exbox 360 and the game yesterday. i seriously can't figure out what to do. im using the right stick and everything but the only time i manage to land in manual is when im not trying.
the game is amazing though and worth the price.
360 inward heels are easier than tre flips though.

to do a nosemanny bring the right stick halfway between the center of the stick (its nuetral point) and the very top. say theres 5 points on the right stick on the up/down axis

 .
 .
O
 .
 .

bring it to the second highest dot to do a nosemanny, and the second lowest to do a manny
