I figure if it worked for me in the 90s, why wouldn't it work for me now

Girl Rick Howard reissue 7.75
venture lows
spitfire classics 5
bones reds
Gilbert Highs

haven't really put any time on it yet.  the wheelbase feels a little tight, but the width feels fine, and its flat as hell.  not looking forward to trying to source more 7.75s if it ends up working out

spitfire classics 5 have always been some of my favorite wheels

775 blind black magic grip.
Venture 5.0 lo
Spitfire f4s 50mm with swiss 6

It's really good but has more concave that the budget one, lower kicks than most dwindle decks.

Some of the boards on the last 2 pages are smaller than on the first 2 pages. That means Slap gear preferences have gone full circle.

I was talking to a friend the other day and he pointed out that if you watch Welsh's old footage it just wouldn't look right with a modern sized board and I'd agree.

Original Curb Killer signed by Ira and the Fosman that used to be a wallhanger. Haven't skated a round tail for quite some time, but it's a nice change of pace. It feels very nimble compared to the Heroin Mutant I was skating before this, although the tail is a bit on the small side. The new symmetrical ones seem to have specs more to my liking, so I ordered one of those if I ever feel the need for a round tail again.

They used to be done by PrimeLA but I think they're being pressed by Clutch nowadays. Never had a problem with Clutch before. So you should be good.

Close to Christmas complete:

8.5 Mini Logo
149 Thunder all stock
54 Radial F4 93a
Big Balls
Allen Shortys Lights
Black Half Cab Pros again

I tried to go back to 99’s and immediately went back the 93’s.  For everything I skate they are perfect.

Been trying to do more flatground/ledge lately. Egg shapes aren't really my thing but I keep going back to them for some reason.

Independent 159 Standards, aftermarket Indy 90a bushings

Is it hard to do such a clean line, keeping the 2 bits parallel ? Do you do something special to be able to do it ?

For me it isn't. I place the griptape off center so there's some of the top ply showing. I cut the griptape, then use the left over to cover the rest of the top ply. I line up the edges together and eyeball the distance and how parallel they are. Same thing goes if I go for a horizontal line instead.

If you're wanting to skate ledges and stuff more why not ride a popsicle? I would imagine having more kick surface is nicer for slides. I've seen some of your (cool) shaped board setups so you seem like you're able to adapt pretty well.

Boils down to me being super indecisive and always wanting to go back to shaped boards whenever I skate popsicles

You 7.75 heads should post some footage. Seeing boards that small in HD is rare. Also what shoe size are you guys on those things?

Although I’ve been mainly riding an 8.5 recently I rode 7.5s for the last couple years and I wear a 13, i fit 14 in new balances. I’ll put together a greatest hits from my ig page in a bit

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

“Micro” setup:
7.3 element, made to endure
Thunder 145’s
Swiss 6
Mini logo awol
Jessup

Yes, I know, but I like it.

Messed up a corner of the Jessup, so had to go with it and screw it all up.
7.6 on 7.3 doesn’t hot rod too much, my other options were ace 00’s, or tiny tensors.
Going with cruiser wheels to see if I can get used to it, lol.
