Baker 9.1x31.8 (if I remember correctly)
Venture 5.8 (stock w/ bones top washer)
F4 101 56mm classics

I picked this up last spring and had it set up with some Ace 55s and the same F4s. It was quickly relegated to strictly cruiser status, OJ Super Juice and all, I couldn’t pop the thing for shit. Shuffled some gear around (55s back onto my regular 8.5” set up) and threw these Ventures on if for no other reason than both deck and trucks were just laying around at that point. Long story short, I can finally skate this thing the way I originally intended. Neighborhood cruising, ollieing manholes, blasting out of curb cuts and the like. They just repaved most of my neighborhood so the streets are super smooth and the F4 101s are perfect. Probably not worth it to buy Ventures in the appropriate size, I’ll just keep these 5.8s on here a while until I want to use them again elsewhere.

isn't the wheelbase under 14" on that board? i wanted to try it for that reason but never found it
[close]
width: 9.1"
length: 31.875"
wheelbase: 13.75"
nose: 7.25"
tail: 6.75

Crazy short wb!
this dane1 14.125” already feels cramped and is gonna force me into something 14.5”+

do you have any trucks that would fit outside of indy? i know we are the same height and i would run back to a big wb too after riding a dane 1 with indys. that axle to axle wb seems unworkable at 6'5" even if it is the forged indy.

i would heavily fuck with this. slap could use a tall skater support group. we are very underrepresented for obvious reasons

Yeah I’m usually on a 14.5 WB (or a 14.25 with trucks that push it out) but the 13.75 is highly skateable with Ventures. The tail is nice and roomy which helps. Everything is popped lower but I have so much control. I was tweaking some ollies yesterday like I’ve only dreamed of before, it was wild. It will never be my regular set up but it’s seriously so fun.

I'd like to know the same for their shaped decks and 8.75" pop.
Earlier 90's shape? I'm hoping for a wide nose.
What wood?

Apparently the 9-inch popsicle is just under 15" wheelbase.

Nice! I like that shape, just the web would be kind of small for me.

How are the aces with the low top bushing? I was thinking of cutting town some bushings to get just a little more space for the kingpin nut.

Edit: never mind! I just saw the setup thread answer...

Thanks!

It is quite a bit of work to do that, as we are literally pulled in 20 directions as i run the social media, manage the store and do all the buying as well for skateboards, shoes and apparel.
Also we do get restocked on those boards and sometimes the shapes change.
Sorry to bum you out but I will try to be better about pics of the different shapes.

Slept on Dane's shape for what feels like years. Finally gave it a shot and I am now filled with undying regret.
[close]

Regret for not buying it earlier or for having one?

That thing is fun
[close]

After cruising around after an injury on my Dane1, its got me wanting to chuck some conical fulls on and skate it every day. Not sure if I like 1/8" risers with it though, considering 1/4" but have never skated them.
[close]

Do it. 1/4' riser, conicals, and some 55s.
[close]
howre the 1/4” riders going to mess with the pop? From no riser to 1/8” with indys on dane1 I feel less snappy

Big ass wheels and rattling trucks has forced me to put risers on just about every set up and I feel like I have more pop now than I did wo them. Get used to it in fifteen minutes.

got it. Not bummed at all I get it. Just tough without seeing. Could throw up a highlighted story on social/IG showing deck shape/sizes. Just a suggestion. im certainly attracted to the shapes and sizes and shapes you offer!  Oh yeah plus dimensions too

(repost from the gear you contemplate buying thread, forgot this counts as a big boy)
Frog Super Junko
Width: 10" Length: 29.7" Wheelbase: 14.25" Nose: 4.25" Tail: 6.75"
never owned a board below 31.3" but would want to try it for fun. at 6'5" would i even be able to do anything but cruise on this if im all legs? crazy dims but would be pissed if i spend $60 and it ends up a cruiser.

to the tall skaters, how was your experience riding a wide and short deck?

When I was a teenager, I had a SMA Natas that was similar dimensions if I recall correctly. I was 6' then and it was too short for me. Pretty sure those had a 15" wb though so maybe this one would feel different.

I used to skate and love the sma joker and loved it. But it was still 30.5 and 15.5 wb, so the front truck was still fairly far up and stabilized the beard at higher speeds and sketchy landings. Also I am (only) 6’ tall.

I can’t imagine the frog being very skatable for someone that likes bog boards. The dane1 felt short already due to the wb, even though it is an inch longer than the sma.

i own a cardiel football and its stardard concave. the brown bomber that i borrowed felt flatter than most of the boards ive owned if that helps. im probably not gonna buy another cardiel. i hail cardiel but the brown bomber just seems better for my skating. its the little brother to his "too big" shape imo

Good to know, thank you. Been skating something that is roughly the same shape and dimensions as the Cardiel but is super flat, and was hoping to try something similar with a little more concave.

I get A little wheelbite but it's not bad.
I can do all my regular flip flip tricks and I skate a lot of curbs and smallish quarter pipes.
I am a bigger guy so the harder bushings help.

The Cardiel also has a longer WB;  14.75" vs. the Brown Bomber's 14.25" if that matters to you.

I have 151s on that board. Looks like the 161s fit way better. How are they?

Never before realized that the Graphic is placed so that Gonzales has truck antlers.

The whole setup looks great.
Also curious about the 161

Love the turn on 161's but anything 54 or larger needs risers.
My friend Logan Devlin made the rails, he was gonna do a rail company but didn't go forward with them.

I can't even ride 54s without risers on 151s....

Do the 161s turn better than the 151s?. I know they are slightly higher. just wondering if this gives them a 'deeper' turn?
