I'm going to start with this one, I truly love how these ones look.
I which I could get them now, I missed them in the mid-90's.
Which shoes do you love how they look?? ( post pics please )

imo one stars like this pair are some of the best looking shoes, especially with the white stitching. i do have a black pair i haven't skated yet and they're pretty nice as well.

I chose all Autumn color ways . As for best looking - I think these three silhouettes/ styles will always be timeless. Even though they are borrowed from other sports.( Slip on maybe excluded? )

my personal favorite would be the converse star player. The OG converse line was the coolest in general but these were the best of the pack. The One star sucks

I agree this shoes look good, but in my opinion the best looking Converse shoes ever are this ones that Skaters like Guy Mariano, Rick Howard and Eric Pupeki used to skate in the mid-90's :

my favorites are shell toes, half cabs, old skools, adidas campus, sheep merinos. i'm also into the last resort vm001 right now, i love the minimalistic design. too bad they don't really last that long but at least they skate well.

I like these but don't agree they belong in the best looking list. I had these in black and wound up cutting them down to mid/lows as the seem line and i think they looked even better that way.
On another note I think the best looking skate shoes are either the Half Cabs or the etnies scams. The s(l)cams don't hold up today for some reason but for the era they were my favorite.

I always loved the Circa MA402, specifically in blue with the white accent, but could only find a decent pic of the brown ones.
Circa shoes circa early 2000s were so good...very much of their time without being ridiculously over the top like some of eS efforts.

These bring me joy.
As a prolific lace breaker (I break laces sometimes three eyelets up), I really miss lace protection.
I don't care if it doesn't look cool, I hate having to buy bulk laces and constantly change them out.
And covering them in superglue or shoe goo ain't happening.

Lol I have a pair of green Galls in my closet, I pretty much never wear them because they’re pretty uncomfortable…..
Gotta agree on the Grasshoppers. I really liked the look of pretty much all ipaths tho.

Speaking of dreaming about ipaths seriously had a dream the other night and the grasshoppers and cats got re released but by DC.(and I was involved because it's a dumb dream). I even did the logo on the side like it said DC but in the shape of the ipath logo which in reality doesn't even fucking work lol.

i used to be a chuck taylor hater but i can honestly say they are one of the most timeless looking shoes, that will always look sick.

I really don't know why skate footwear brands stopped doing shoes with lace loops, it's the better and most resistent to skate and when it's done right like here it can look really good, at least now Puig on Adidas and Tiago on NB# have shoes with that feature.

Black low top Chucks, Vans authentics, or Van old skools. They were also great since you could grab any of those at like a millers outpost in the early-mid 90s for $20.

The cons could use that little strip that the gonz has. There's also a shoe called the palace on that gonz aloha sole that's pretty perfect

Busenitz original really caught my eye when it first came out, not a fan for the fit or skate aspect of it though.

I agree the Converse Pro Leathers are some of the best looking skate shoes ever made (the lows, not the highs). They reissued the suede ones a few years back and I had a pair. They skated great. Seems like they only make the leather ones now; the suede ones are way better.

I copped a pair of these off a shop that had a ton of old DS shoes (including lots of Saviers)
These were so grippy, shame they didn't use the sole on other shoes at the time.

Same. Airwalks were the best shoes of the time. These had the most amazing rubber, and strong, soft suede. Like supportive slippers. Mine were mostly shoe goo by the time I threw them.

Don't know what it is but these, the grey with blue soles and the black Howard's with red soles always remind me of these ghostbusters toys I had as a kid. Think it's the clear gummy outsoles

Brown ones were too brown for me. But I can see how they were liked.
I had those grey ones, but in the picture I ordered from the black was charcoal which I thought looked a lot better than the black, so I was always a little let down by them.

Don't know what they did with those Silas but they had to be one of the lightest skate shoes ever made.(which as a size 13 wearer is something I care about) only prob was they came out in my one slimmer pants phase and couldn't make them look right.

Suede VM001s look amazing. I also like black with white stripes or white with black stripes Superstars, they're pretty timeless to me.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna go with the Janoski OG with the black stripe on the sole and leather laces. It looks great with slimmer pants and also works well with baggy pants imo. Super versatile and I'm still holding on to my 4 year old Janoski's

I know the reissue is coming out in this navy/gum colorway in the next couple months. I’d cop for sure, but the white/gums were oddly shaped and all the toe boxes came pre-creased.

Not the above ones. Hours is remaking the G code models. Two different models, though they both are kinda similar in design.
In the future, it would be cool if Herman could do a version of the Herman G6 on Hours.

Fastbreaks, Butter Goods X Puma slipstream lo collab, eS Koston 1, Dunk highs, the DVS Huf 1 (from 2000), Gonz Adidas Ciero mids, original Half-Cabs, Emerica Figgys are simple but look good to me, Axion Islanders and Routines looked good imo, DC Kalis 1, the Lakai Carroll reissue...I could go on.
